  • lol I saw this movie when I was a Kid!!!

  • i was born in 1994, 23 years after the movie came out.. i'm 17 and still listening to all the music... that shows you ORIGINAL disney movie were the shit

  • Lovely scene!!

  • I love this movie!!!

  • This was back when Disney actually made good movies not politically correct drivel and infantile dreck they crap out nowadays.

  • Lost.... the unseen 7th season!

  • The kids accents are so fucking bad. Even when I was younger I t hought they were awful.

  • This was like 20 years before my time and yet I connect it to my childhood memories.

  • i personnally rate this film an a plus even though happiest millionaire was out several years before and had a great actor like tommy steele somehow thhis one is more easy to relate to.

  • I know I shouldn't question this but how can they breathe underwater? Also why dosen't the book get wet? God Ilove Disney even if their films don't make sense and diffy all laws of logic. Like how the likes of High School Musical and Hannah Monntana be successfull?

  • i am Sooooo happy being brought up on disney

  • @raven8344 Me Too!

  • How can they talk underwater? I don't understand.

  • @Axerien It's the magic of Disney, of course :)

  • @Axerien its a bloody film..

  • @Axerien Spongebob logic

  • @Axerien its not real

  • @Axerien you cant speak underwater, wat? every FAN of the OLD disney can. ;P

  • Except when they try to make movies like this like the recent Mr. Popper's Penquins, nobody goes to see them as box office report proves with 18M debut.

  • I'm pretty sure this is where the inspiration for Harry Potter came from. Loved this movie growing up, I think Ms. Rawlings is about my age.

  • 5 people were eaten by the lion king

  • at 4:20, Lansbury looses a shoe.

  • OCTOPUS DRUM SOLO!!!! 3:30.

  • And to think this was originally going to be a Mary Poppin's song.

    Love this song.

  • when i was younger i used to get this film and mary poppines confused but i was like 5-6 i think. i love this film <3

  • i have seen this movie and it is the best movie ever and this is the best part in the movie

  • One of my favourites, David Tomlinson made it priceless and brought an element of class to it :D

  • Oh my gosh I loved this movie so much when I was a kid. And surprisingly, no one of my friends know what it it!!! Its madness!

  • I used to LOVE this movie as a kid. I don't know what the appeal was; it's not quite so different from Mary Poppins and the like, but it was one of my absolute favorites. I loved this song, even if I could never get all the words. :)

  • adorable British kids, singing fish, magic furniture. this movie has everything.

  • I think this song is cute...tho. I never saw the movie before.

  • @AwSoMeGuRl131 If you love the song you would love the movie. Do yourself a big favor and see it. You will have a great time!

  • @AwSoMeGuRl131 Oh do =) it's lovely!

  • Wonderful memories :') ♥

  • urgh, this song is on fecking repeat at work -.-

  • at 4:20 Lansbury's Shoe comes off.

  • wow, watching that takes me back many years. Still looks brilliant though. Thanks for uploading it, it is definitely one of the best films for kids. I wish my animations were this good xxx

  • @The1ghostwriter I love to bring back fond memories. Thanks for sharing. :)

  • wow, watching that takes me back many years. Still looks brilliant though. Thanks for uploading it, it is definitely one of the best films for kids.

  • best film of my childhood :')

  • This was my favourite film when I was younger. :) I didn't realise it was that old, I'm only 15.

  • Love Tomlinson's face at 2:06 - 2:10. What do you do when the director tells you to act like a fish just swam in and out your mouth?

  • @WillScarlet16 That takes a good actor!

  • This was one of my favourite movies - and definitely my favourite song! And then my dad went and burnt the tape because it was 'satanic'.

  • @PeppermintGlow Oh no, I am so sorry to hear that. It is not satanic. I hope that you get the chance to see it again. It is a wonderful movie! Don't let anyone else tell you different!

  • @PeppermintGlow

    Witches don't worship Satan!

They don't even believe in Hell!

  • My favorite movie as a kid! The VHS broke from me overplaying it.

  • WONDERFUL

  • I am 12 and I luv movies like thease too bad other people don't my age or younger some haven't even heard of this or secret garden or even a little princess just to prove some kids like me luv thease movies!! :) :) :P :P

  • @angelcake1998 I am so glad to hear that there are young people like you out there Angelcake! The others are missing out on all of the magical moments that you have :)

  • I love this movie! Though I think that Mary Poppins is better, and The Sound of Music is better than that... I love The Sound of Music (3

  • @magicalkiwibird I think Mary Poppins is better too, though I enjoyed the animation in this film also.

  • Laboomboom Looogloon

  • Editing scenes back in this day was a very tedious task! What teams of people took weeks to do now takes one person days to do.

  • Ballrooms rarely exist anymore :( Mostly dark pits they call clubs where people grind along at the bottom of the briny street.

  • @angelmarauder The modern world could use a few more ballrooms.

  • @angelmarauder "grind along" is the tip of the iceberg... "Dancing" can not be called that if when you do so, you don't look like if you where having sex...

  • warning! Bad english can´t form my thoughts into sentences:

Does young people know about these old movies, this is what goes through my head when I see 9 year olds getting the latest Apps for their I-phone.Or Then they go around and play songs from arseholes like bushido or sido. (gangsta rap -.-)

can they even get this lovely and warm feeling when they see those movies?

Sometimes i feel so ashamed of the people of my age

  • @mynervesaredead I am glad to see that there are young people around such as yourself. Hold your head up high! You are a credit to your generation.

  • Angela Lansbury, What a true legend! My favorite Actress and such a wonderful personality and such a beautiful voice.

  • @PaulMcCann92 Isn't she absolutely wonderful?

  • 1:40 OMG! Doesn't Ariel play with a sea flower that turns into a seahorse exactly like that too!?

  • @javiere1990 You often find that Disney references its film in others - in fact, if you watch the beginning of the little mermaid closely, you will see Micky Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy in the audience of Triton's palace.

  • @mtheadedwally Mickey Mouse in the Little Mermaid is not reference, thats a cliché... There are hidden Mickeys in almost every Disney movie to date...

And they do reference each other, like Ms. Potts in Tarzan... And all those others in Enchanted...

  • i used to watch this movie all the time. love it

  • seems like I watched this movie a lot when I was little :)

  • You know if this was real life right now, they would all be drowning lol

  • They don't make these anymore because Disney is so caught up in how much money this would take and that would take.

  • This is delightfully British.

  • Catchy song, great video, I love the dancing sea animal couples.

  • i can remmber watching this when i was realllllly young and i just thought to myself why the heck not lets listen to my fav song from it and i loved it thanks x :D

  • love this movie, when it came out on dvd, i went and got it, they just do not make disney movies like this anymore

  • I swear this was a BREAKTHROUGH in cinema history. This was never seen before, and I swear to God, it still astounds me how they do it and blend it in so awesomely.

  • Possibly one of the bestesterest movies eevvverrr!

I'm only 16.....and I have seen this sooo many times :D

  • how can there be 4 dislikes??

  • Rolling back the good old times :)

  • Thanks for reminding me how much I loved this movie!

  • David Tomlinson was good in this movie, but I like him better in "Mary Poppins"

  • @loey12886 To each his own but while David Tomlinson was good in Mary Poppins I actually like him better in this.I know that I'm probably in the minority on this but I have always like this movie better than Mary Poppins, though Poppins is a more popular film.

  • That is so true!

  • Angela Lansbery sings really great! Nothing like these great Walt Disney Classics!

  • Absolute Classic!!!!

  • Glad to help bring back great memories :)

  • Thank you so much for bringing back memories! I've watched this movie countless times with my sisters when we were kids. It was in French, though. At the time, we bought video tapes and we couldn't select a language! lol - anyway, thanks again. I really enjoyed it!

  • this was always my favorite part!

  • AMEN!

  • Time for new animators and future generations of animators to come to learn from this little example.:)

  • Wonderful memories!

  • I watched this at The Regent cinema in Brighton, England, in 1971. Oh the memories!!

  • Thanks for the post. I love this movie. thanks for the memories

  • Your welcome. Glad you are enjoying the clip. It is a wonderful movie.

  • Whoa this movie is crazy!

  • Crazy good!

  • this song is so nostalgic it brings tears to my eyes, this is a movie i could watch countless times and never get bored

  • Angela really likes to be "By The Sea."

    lol

  • i luv this song!!!!

  • Man I wish they would make more classics like Bedknobs and Broomsticks I love this song and I love Disney

  • David Tomlinson was a good find of Walt Disney's. Mary Poppins, The Love Bug and Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

  • It does look like a fun place, I t would be a chance to get a better peep at the plants and creatures of the deep.....

  • and maybe spot a mermaid or two :)

  • I wish I could be a mermaid for just a day to be able to spend time in the beautiful briny sea.

  • blue eyes is back right?

  • "Halucination she-wrote"

  • I just bought the enchanted disney dvd version of this cant wait i hope it comes today!! love this movie... they should make more like this but it probably would not be as a classic like this.. Thanks for posting

  • I'm back in my childhood...

    Treguna Mekoide Trekourm Satee Dee!

  • This makes me a child once more. Marching down my hallways with a blanket tied around my neck, chanting "Treguna Mekoides and Trecorum Satis Dee" I don't want to grow any older, the magic in this world dwindles.

  • I love those memories! So many of mine involve Disney movies and programs and Disneyland. What is really awesome is that when I went back to Disneyland two years ago, I really felt like I was six again. I remembered standing in some of the same spots when I was six. We can still keep the child within us alive no matter how old we are :)

  • Go Sherman Brothers! They wrote tons of Disney. Mary Poppins, Jungle Book, Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

  • Sublime.

  • i just found out the name of this movie and this clip brought back sooooo many memories *sigh*. :)

  • I love this movie!!! This song pops in my head all the time, it's so happy!!

This comes on TCM tomorrow you guys! Watch it!! =)

  • sing this all the time!

  • can you post the movie?

  • Yes, they really don't make Disney movies like this anymore. Or any movies like this. They were great. Musical, had a point, family friendly without being dumb and hilarious and very sad at the same time. Great movie!

  • i do say i agree

  • Man i love thse classics, they dont make anyones like these anymore. When i hera songs like this it always makes me remeber my childhood, and how easy it was back then. Thumbs up for this video!!!!! =)

  • I agree, such wonderful memories. I am so glad that I got to grow up in a time when all of these wonderful films were being made and when they had "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights.

  • lovely song ;3

by the way is that man in mary poppins? i think he is that same man who played kids dad in mary poppins. and that woman... is she in somekind of murder tv-show? i may remember wrong though... but the song is absolutely wonderfull ^-^

  • You're right on both counts. That's David Tomlinson and Angela Lansbury.

  • I wish disney still made as great movies as these.... sadly there is no 2-D in recent years, and making a charming film? never! sad isnt it? oh well, we"ll always have the classics!

  • best song, gets into your head =) love it! this is one of those amazing movies I will never forget from my childhood.

  • Even though they're underwater and shoulder be drowning or being eaten by now, they're being good old fashioned upbeat and break into song.

  • disney at it's best.

  • Watched 2 day on bbc1 fabulousxx

  • haha me too

  • one of Angela's shoes fall off at 4:21.

  • amazing.

  • This movie was my favorite when I was younger! I always loved this number!

Angela rocks still! End of story!

  • old woman doing three backflips, so cool. but i also really like the classic films like this too

  • Angela wasn't "old" when this movie was made. You could call her old now I suppose.

  • she was mid age there

and year shes really old now

  • anglea was 46 there, she is now 83 shes still FABULOUS!

  • they dont make classic flims like this no more

this is proper movie material, typical cockney kids

  • i used 2 think it said "beautiful slimy sea" lol

  • "fish dont talk..."

ummm since when could ppl talk underater, much less ride a bed at the bottom of the sea lmao

  • angela lansbuy did lots of things, she is a great actress :P

  • Thank you. I will try to post some more soon :)

  • I got this song stuck in head without the lyrics. and it was so annoying, but it's still very good!!

  • There's a deleted song from this movie. I think it's called Step in The Right Direction or something like that.

  • Yes there is a song by that name in this movie.

  • Do you know where the song was supposed to be in the movie?

  • OMG the market dance lasts FOREVER on this film LMAO xD xD

  • love thiss movie all my lifee x

  • i love this song reminds me of good times

  • Mary Poppins is overrated!!

  • FYI: This isn't Mary Poppins. It's Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

  • I know that! I ment that Mary Poppins got more attention then Bedknobs and Broomsticks and it's driving me nuts!!

  • This song was actually written for Mary Poppins, but was never used...

  • Here we are! On page three!

  • I miss the HELL out this movie! I haven't seen it in SOOOOOOOO long!!!!!!!

  • I remeber the danceing eels were always my favorite.

  • i loved the lobsters :P

  • I feel blessed to see the good old Disney films. Now Disney is complete rubbish.

  • I know! I guess they just don't have that Classic Touch anymore.

  • Not all of it Disney still does have its good movies. :)

  • Im only 19 now but i watched this while growing up. Best part: either the part with all the animals in their kingdom or the armor all becoming animated. overall, GREAT MOVIE!!!

  • What happened to the part where the bed was being picked up with a fishing hook?

  • that was right after this clip

  • I was hoping to see that part.

  • I hope they put this Disney Movie on a Platinum Edition DVD.

  • Tell me. How popular is this Disney Movie?

  • Quit popular. You can find it in most DVD stores. And they showed it on tv quite a bit. It's my favorite disney film.

  • It is very popular with me :)

  • OMG I *HATE* how obscure this Disney movie is!! I wish this was just as worth seeing as "Mary Poppins"!!

  • obscure? I thought it was quite popular?

    I've always known about it
