I found a decent sample of KITT's engine idiling from an episode, and kept looping it until i had 10 minutes or so, i had to clean it up a bit with some editing software but the end result came out pretty well as you can hear.
Would you be willing to share the sfx file with us? I'd love to have this sound in the KITT-inspired electric motor 4th gen Firebird Trans Am project I'm working on. Based on what I've read and seen from other electric car conversions, the car would either be silent during idle or have a barely audible whirring noise while it's moving.

deadly maneuvers in season 1, its near the end when KITT pins the two soliders against the wall, n you just have to basically sit and loop it to get it right then i cleaned it up a bit in nero

Yeah ive intsalled a speaker under the hood so i can play the scanner sfx, turbine of let KITT talk himself away !

Im using quite an old version of Nero, 5 i think. its got a .wav editor and you can play about with the sound, reduce noise etc, its quite good
