@MrDuhans Well for starters, magic penetration hasn't always made your attacks do significantly more damage. Lets say i wanted to use Karthus' ultimate against a Rammus with 150 magic resistance. The reduced damage may be around 60-70% causing Karthus' ultimate to do 385 damage (if his ultimate did 1100 damage). 60% magic penetration (with Void staff and sorcerers boots) would make his resistance 60. This is still about 40% damage reduction. Karthus' ultimate would only do 660 Damage.

150:2=75

75-35=40= 25%reduced magic dmg

and if u got a second mage in ur team(in best case fiddle)

he would be smart to buy AC and will of the ancients so u get +50ap and plus 20magicpen (30 with fiddle) so u can get the tanks magicresistance into nearly 0 and adcarrys to negative,deal EVERY enemy 1100+(if u mean) dmg.THIS is OP.

Karthus is actually pretty hard to play, being both squishy, slow, having a shitty basic, mana problems and he either has to get up in their face to do damage with his e or place his q's well with mindgames to get the solo hit double damage.

Sure, the ulti is cheap. But compare it to about 20 other op ulti champs, and it's not that extreme anymore. I can say that you rarely get kills with it, better to just use it in teamfights, flash in and slow, e and hourglass when focused for max dmg..

@DaemonTFO Q is easy to land and does shitload of damage, it got no CD so you charge your ToG in 10 minutes an have no mana problems for the rest of your game.

His W is one of the best AoE CC in game. His E does crazy damage and is compared to melee fighter's damage if not more. And his ultmate can take half of squishies life.

Yes, use it as your last spell when you are dead or they run away.

He is easy and over powered.

But like mentioned, karthus can only deal high ammounts of damage if he's that shitty player that kses with his ultimate or has an easy mid, which is rare in higher elo. Karthus is doomed to feed and be of barely any use but dieing for his passive in teamfights if he doesn't carry. And even then he dies instantly.

Watch livestreams and learn that Karthus is played a lot. He is played in competitions, in high elo ranked and in simple normals. He is indeed overpowered due to his high damage potential, easy and strong ultimate, very potent AoE CC and a crazy passive.

He doesn't fall lategame like other AP chars do, he is over powered.
