@superficker2000 I prefer to think of it as some Germans translating the genius of his lyrics to those who don't speak Canadian. He is, after all, pretty overwhelming with the density and poetry of his lyrics. (and the line 'kick at the darkness' is perhaps my favorite in ALL of music. would give anything to have written that myself)
i dont think he uses a looper at all i saw him live a few weeks ago and he didnt have anything. i cant believe people were actually talking during this.
the chords for the break down are the power chord shape, all on the 5th string, then after you strum the chord you play the 1st and 2nd strings with your fingers (you play the power chords with your thumb)
it goes 9, 11, 11, 9, 7, 7, 6,4, 2,9,11, 11, 9 7,11 those are the positions of the power chords hope that helps
@MikeRawbertson Yes its just Bruce, he does use a bit of delay but that is it for effects. Standard tuning with the power chords usually only need two to three fingers to fret.

@stuarteldergill yes i think he's doing B, C#m(7th?), A, but in the verse it is the power (bar) chords on frets 7, 9, 5, then in the chorus same chords but played in the usual positions.
