All he hears is "dead dog". That trick is a scream.
Option M45 -- an easy way to teach this trick is by word substitution. I taught my dog to turn his head by saying "Wait" and giving a hand signal for "wait". He understands whether I use a hand signal, say "wait", or do both. I could just as easily had used the words "Barack Obama" as the word "wait". And using a hand signal, the dog will obey regardless of the word you use. Try it! Dogs learn quicker than politicians.
