I always prefered roz singing because it fits the character more.. a washed up has been lol.. anyway i love roz! <3 and though i think she was the best mama rose she will always be auntie mame to me :)

Well, I don't begrudge Roz a little help from Lisa. The performance still seems to be definitive. Merman always strikes me as a bit one-dimensional although it must have been thrilling to hear her air-raid siren voice onstage in the days before amplification.

LOVE THIS....Rosalind Russell was brilliant as Mama Rose....the scenes with her and Natalie were the best in the movie....
