I've been UE'ing now for a while, and never ever heard the term 'creepers', even from the cops I have had the dubious pleasure of running into when exploring. The most eccentric term I have heard was last year on G4TV's Underground series where they called UE 'Urban Spelunking'.
I'm an Explorer, and I've never heard of the term "Creepers." Did he just make that up? I'm not sure I like that any more than I like the term "Urban Exploration."
i do some UE myself and the only time i have herd the term creeper was in the park at night talking to the cops, and it came out of the mouth of the girl i was with, and there was no urban exploring going on....kinda :P
Especially during the recession of the early '70's, an abandoned hotel in the crowded eastern corridor, which is where Asbury Park is, wouldn't have lasted 3 days before the scavengers moved in. The furniture & fixtures would be gone first, than the scrap metal guys would be there to strip out the copper pipes & wiring. Next the skells would move in. Asbury Park was already down at the heels by 1971, it's glory days long behind it.
I still have one also, just have never gotten around to sending it back to A T & T.
There could never be a abandoned hotel in Asbury Park New Jersey from 1971 that still had stuff in it. By now it would have long been stripped of everything, including the copper pipes. It would likely be a crack house which would then be set on fire, probably more than once. In the interest of public health & safety, it would have been demolished.
i read this book in jail.. Killed some weeks like *that*!! i didn't want to put it down.. David Morrell writes some good shit

I'm reading and I'm at about half past three am. The books starts at nine pm and finishes at four am. So I'm near the end and have enjoyed it so far.
