Carla is working on a dance album. I heard a few demos this weekend. A few tracks are very heavenly trance, while the others are a electro-pop. People are going to love it.
This is a live performance. The back-track is pre-recorded, but she is singing live. She is a good friend and I've seen her perform in several venues with just her guitar. People are just stunned when they hear her voice. She has one of the best live voices I've ever heard...and she is a seriously cool person too. This is the kind of singer that SHOULD be famous, but is to legit for the pre-fab crap music industry (just my opinion).
What is wrong with the "dancers" ? They are staging the theme of the album "Bunkka" of which this song is on. Plus her personality is awesome both in her album and in this video!
The dancers are definitely more Paul's style than Carla's. She seems so down to earth. I liked the Bunkka cd quite a lot, but her "Departure" cd is absolutely beautiful! Thanks for reading!
Tiesto's mix was the first version I heard of this song, and it was beautiful.
But, when I listened to the original edit, I was blown away as well.
I just love hearing the original versions to other dance hits. Thank goodness for the many remixes that came from this wonderful song! Much respect to the vocalist and the original work itself by Oakenfold!
this is the original version of SOUTHERN SUN obviusly by Oakenfold BUT version's by Tiesto, Gabriel & Dresden and Solarstone are all 10 out of 10 i tink this is the only track i have ever herd with so many diffrent remixis yet all so good simply a true work of art.

The lame stage set and "dancers" don't ruin the beauty of Carla or her song. Her album reflects her personality much better than this video.

I know Carla is mostly an acoustic / folk style vocalist, but she really should do more trance stuff. Her voice is perfect for this genre!~

the Gabriel and Dresden mix is my favorite and its the one I first heard. However the original is still great and she has amazing vocals live.
