I too have a Min Pin, 9 months old. She's an amazing jumper & SMART. I saw Champ stand there & run this through his head several times b4 he made it work. Penny does the same thing. Have you noticed the pads on his feet are MUCH thicker than other dogs? Penny's are twice as thick as the pads my Chihuahua has...but they are ALL awesome. Thanks for sharing CHamps ability.

My min pin can jump ridiculous heights as well. Its hilarious watching him climb but it sucks because it is hard to keep him contained when we leave the house. We had to double up the baby gates, except he can still climb the two baby gates so we have to tilt the second gate at a steep angle. ha ha ha...

I'll tell you how smart this dog is...he used the concept of plyometrics to jump over the mattress. Notice how it didn't work at first when he jumped from a static position, but when he "bounced" off the floor from the couch he was able to use the stretch/shortening cycle of his muscles to get the job done...lol

we're planning to adopt a min pin so if you dont mind me asking (from a person with some experience) are they hard to take care of or does it just depend as long as they have adequate exercise?

@khfan2343 they usually follow you around the house, thats usually how they get exercise, they are really easy to take care of, just make sure they dont jump off anything 6-7 feet high or else they will get hurt and/or break a bone, and make sure they dont get stung by bees or wasps, get one with their tail clipped, i know it sounds mean, but its better because if they arent clipped they grow two feet long and cause extreme pain, so yeah they are easy to take care of

Actually, dogs CAN jump that high. It may not be probable for a Min Pin to do it from the floor, but it's possible for an average, or slightly under sized, dog to do it.

We used to have a Corgi. When we first got her, we'd lock her in a room so she wouldn't fight with our other dogs.

One day when we came home, she had gone to the restroom and then played Picasso- there were poop paw prints all the way to the ceiling...
