Pamela did bleach her hair blonde in 1965. I think this may have been her very last film as a brunette. She originally dyed it for the 1965 Italian film "Oggi, Domani, Dopodomanni". She loved the attention she received (although that excuse puzzles me as she was already a gorgeous woman) she kept it blonde. She also rebelled against the sweet virgin girl-next-door roles and image foisted upon her as well as her unhappy marriage to New York magazine founder Clay Felker.

Carol Lynley I've met and is great in person although back then I heard she was very quiet and many thought she was aloof. I think she was just shy and not real outgoing. But she is really funny now. People do loosen up when older.

As for Pamela, I preferred her brunette, I thought it was sexier and more exotic.

I have just watched the film Viva Max. It is a terrible film and the only good thing in it is Pamela's legs.

She bleached it in '65 not long after filming this. HARPER was made in 1965 but not released til the following year. Check her out on old clips from WHAT'S MY LINE.........??? as well as the Italian made OGGI, DOMANI, DOPODOMANI (1965) where she played Pepita; She was quite blond in it, and no it wasn't a wig !
