Shes certainly cute enough to have performed. She couldve lipped sync-ed to her own voice that will be fine. But maybe the problem is that she is only 7 and maybe couldnt be counted on to perform at the important opening ceremony.

Worst error in judgement by China, in this lip syncing decision (and insult) was that the world (non-Chinese) audience are sooo shallow that we wouldn't SEE how adorable the real singer is and couldn't appreciate her talent. That we needed "a prettier face" to appreciate the singing?!!!

And that's not even mentioning my indignation on behalf of Yang PeiYi -- hidden in the name of "perfection".
