Is it just me or do those bows look small enough for it to be put into a crossbow stock modified to fit these bows? Maybe it's implausible, but they certainly look the part.
These small recurves were designed for the cavalry.
If anyone has ever used one of those bows, what is the draw weight of those? I know there is many kinds, but what range does it cover? (30 to 50 pounds?)
I shoot a "PSE Take down recurve" and it recently broke (top limb) :(
thumb release is harder as well to keep drawn and yes, i agree, it takes a lot of friction between the stored energy and the transfer to arrow to make it go. i use two finger release on the tips of my fingers. my index and middle, and i find i can pull and arrow out of my quiver and draw the bowstring swiftly using this technique, lol, but id like to hear some feed back about other techniques. any advice for a budding archer?
what poundage is your bow first off... you really shouldnt do a 2 finger draw on anything more than 20 pounds, 2 finger is for kids and papua new guineans :P
use the traditional english draw, three fingers, one on top of the arrow two below.
My bow is 35 pounds and I dont have any problems at all with two fingers. In fact, im less accurate with three fingers and it feels weird too. Plus, the sharper angle sends more energy into the arrow. Now, I dont use the very tips of my fingers, more like the area in between the knuckle and fingernail. Maybe the reason people are having a hard time with the two finger draw is because they use the very tips of their fingers.
Are you shooting a European or asian bow? What kind of bow and what style do you shoot? Because with Europeans they use their fingers and asians we often have different types like in this video notice the people also use their thumb as well. Also we ut the arrow on the other side then Europeans do. That guy (Badsimia) maby right for hes talking about, but every culture in the world created some type of "Bow and arrow" and theres hundreds of ways to shoot them. Which do you have???
lol this is turkish bow..you are thiefs...

@disciiples Just like how Japanese samurais adapted Portuguese rifles?
Just like how guns weren't invented in Japan?
Just like how the rest of the world had horses by 1200, and then in the 1600s, Japan finally imported horses to create cavalries?
Just like how everyone tends to copy inventions?
Where's your proof?

lol do you now hun turks?..they are best horseman..they were used bow,sword..
disciiples 1 month ago
@disciiples Horses and swords aren't even related to this.
And Korea's the best in archery, if you've ever seen the Olympics.
Everyone copies, and this bow has better assimilated into Korean culture than Turks.

@disciiples From turk to Korea we are the riders.

very cool little bows.. What is their poundage??
wwood14 2 years ago
not too sure, but I think poundage is not the point of this kind of bow. It's their CAST counts...!!
billylai6 2 years ago
@wwood14 18-25 kg.. 40-55lbs depending on whether it was made for a man or women.
