Excuse me loyalman 69, but this song is not from the album "Horizon"'. It was originally from his album "Lifeline" (Elektra Records). The picture caught my attention.
now, I can take a good Hall and Oates every now and then- kinda like every once in awhile a cheap Mexican food place just hits the spot. You know, it serves its purpose. Like "Livin' in the middle between the 2 extremes".But I gotta tell ya, Hall and Oates doin this song...Ikes! Way too much punch and energy. This is a fine wine....Thanks.....
Heard this song on the August 18, 1979 AT40 episode played on AT40: The 70's recently. This song should have been done by Hall and Oates rather than Eddie Rabbitt.
Were you listening to a replay of Casey Casem's Countdown from the week ending August 18th, 1979? I heard it this morning...Love those replay's they do! Brings back so many memories ;)
@Lu70sChild80sFan You mean Casey Kasem. And yes, it was a replay of American Top 40 from August 18, 1979 on the August 20-21, 2011 AT40: The 70's broadcast (1979 episodes start with the second hour since the AT40 70's broadcast are 3 hours).
You would think I would remember how to spell Casey's last name since I used to listen to him EVERY weekend! No wonder this country is going to he!! in a hand basket...All the great talent is gone, & there are no more Top 40 countdown's on...By the way, did you catch then #1 song of August 18th, 1979? I got sidetracked & missed it...I wasn't right the rest of the day lol!
@Lu70sChild80sFan There is still AT40, but it is hosted by Ryan Seacrest and has become just another celebrity gossip show where the music is secondary to finding out what Kim Kardashian had for breakfast. NO ONE will ever compare to Casey.
@Lu70sChild80sFan Not to mention the current AT40 has no credibility since it doesn't even use any published chart. Of course, a countdown based on the current Hot 100 would sound really strange nowadays, with songs debuting at their peak positions thanks to first-week download sales and the country tunes and songs from "Glee" or "American Idol" winners that get no pop airplay.
i would totally melt if i was ever serenated by this song.

@Lu70sChild80sFan The #1 song of that August 18, 1979 AT40 week was "Good Times" by Chic.
