As for the lightning gun, It was INSANE! I can see you can't aim for shit with it. The feeling of zapping someones head off with it was really satisfying.
Dude... you could download the community bonus pack for UT2k3. with CBP Everyrhing on UT2k3,2k4, and UT3 Will be FTW. And I know there aren't any snipers in this game but you could pretend that lighting gun as your alternative sniper rifle. It has scope, fast speed, same fire rate as the old sniper, and the best part: The dead body will be like *Buzzzz* every seconds.

I have set up online servers as well as a STEAM GROUP to set up matches for Unreal Tournament 1999, 2004, and 3. My User Name: BigSpeck - Steam Group Name: Speck's Unreal /V/idya. Add me on your friends list,So I can contact you when I set up a few matches. You don't need the steam version to play , but having steam makes it easier to know when a match is up.

I'm very much going to disagree with you here. UT2003 felt more true to UT99 because it as fast paced as it should be. UT2004 felt more like a halo game because it just felt a little slow for me. sure there aren't as many awesome weapons in UT2003 as there should have been, but it required more skill and was a bigger challenge rather than in UT2004, it felt too easy to kill people and it took a very long time to cross a map.
Anyone that want to play some part of this game can download the ut2003-demo from Gamefront - it has multiplayer and the not nerfed altflakgun which is nerfed in the last patch and as the same in ut2004
@GeneralArmorus Noi they play alot different...... i loved ut2k3... played every day for like a year... then it died off, the ut2k4 community was never as big as ut2k3 community was at its prime... 2k3 was alot faster paced btw
@Woddart . player animation- more robotlike (not all)- the weapons may not shot with same intervals-no sniper, fewer skins(no skaaj or such) not same taunts(some removed- like you play like mark raines(someone in epicgames), cft-lavagiant removed in ut2004, weapons has different skins ,mini is useless, pulse alt is way harder, ut2003boostjump, no onslaught,fewer maps,no cft-bridge/face, no deck 17(good).its more gray than ut2004- and yes wepons do less damage-but shock is easier
The reason the lightning gun 'sucks' compared to the UT99 sniper rifle is because the hitboxses for the head in UT99 were gigantic, it was almost pathetic how easy it was to get off head shots in '99. It's quite a bit harder in 2k3 and even 2k4 with it's sniper rifle.
