  • Thx but I'm looking for the adh heelless dbl pedal with the new features.

  • @SupraDman7 Oh sorry about the confusion. We do not offer the Heelless pedals with the new upgrades at this time. :(

  • Is the adh double pedal available for purchase with the ad4 improvements?

  • @SupraDman7 Yes we have the 5002AD4. You can order one on line if you are in the US or from any of our authorized dealers.

  • Please DW: Make a direct drive pedal! :)

  • @SERCHSOS3722 Hey guys. We very much appreciate your suggestions for a direct drive pedal. We are in serious discussion of a direct drive pedal but nothing is clear on what series it will be in let alone it's own series. We want to make sure we can make a direct drive pedal that is satisfying to our customers and innovative. :)

  • Did you guys ever considered using a direct linkage instead of a chaine or a strap?

Would be awesome on the 5000/9000 series especialy for twinpedal!

  • when it comes to dw/pdp pedals, are the enable to adjust it to where i can have my slave pedal to the left of the hi hat stand?

  • @killjoyshidae1208 We do sell extended linkage bars for DW pedals Shidae. This would give you the length to get your slave pedal to the left side of your high hat but could be a little clumsy because of the slave side pedal being unaligned by a few inches forward that the high hat pedal. We offer the 9500 which has an offset pedal connect by a linkage and the 5520-2 which is probably more ideal for you. The has a double pedal w/ h.h.

  • @DrumWorkshopInc thanks for the info. but can u give me the extended linkage bars (just in case), and can dw linkage bars work on pdp peds?

  • @killjoyshidae1208 PDP and DW linkages are different unfortunately Shidae. We only offer extended linkage bars for DW. Sorry!

  • @DrumWorkshopInc no worries, i decided to go with the 3000 double kickers!

  • @killjoyshidae1208 Alright sounds cool Shidae!

  • I am going to buy DW 5002 next week...hope this will be a good pedal...Its my first double pedal :) Hope its a good one!!Greetings from Greece!

  • @deadheartinadeadworl Awesome! We are very happy to hear your first double pedal will be a 5002! We are sure you will have many fun times drumming with your 5002.

  • dw where could i go to get a new drum key holder for my 3000 bdl pedal it broke;(

  • @ornball Feel free to order a replacement from our on line store below.

    Have a great holiday season!

  • Mike's wearing Addidas Top Tens! I have the same shoes...

  • @weinhimer06 :)

  • Thanks for your response..... I'm still going to try and get one!!! Merry Christmas!

  • @tmaddrummer Anytime! Chances are these pedals will not be in stock and are a special order item from any of our authorized DW dealers. You can also order the 5000ADH from our on line store also.

    ://dwdr(dot)ms/v7qPFu

    ://dwdr(dot)ms/tCjpEj

  • Less pedal, greater expense...... why? In all honesty fellas, this pedal is just too expensive; however, I'd still love to have one!

  • @tmaddrummer Sorry for the pricing. Each of these pedals are hand made in our factory here and are not the easiest to assemble. Thanks for your feedback! Happy Holidays!

  • @tmaddrummer When it comes down to it, this really isn't a very expensive pedal.

  • @XxStrongDrums1996xX Well we understand that it is not the lowest priced pedal and appreciate your understanding why. :)

  • Hey, is it possible that there is a 5000pedal version using different Delta bearings? (Delta and Delta II)

In the 8000series pedals is the Delta bearings used, while the newer 5000's use the DeltaII ones?

  • @xXWhatUpDocXx Great questions but we are little confused. Can you please check the links I provided below for the schematics for the 5000 and 8000 pedals? Please get back to me with the part numbers you would want swapped between the 2 pedals and we'll go from there. :)

    ://dwdr(dot)ms/rCoP9T

    ://dwdr(dot)ms/u3yDfD

  • @DrumWorkshopInc

uhm.. In my research yesterday I just looked at these schematics and didn't find an answer to my question :(

Maybe I should put it this way: In some Musicstores I know there is a 5002AD3 saying "Delta II hinge" (they have the extra weight on the footboard)

And the 8002 ones saying "(just) Delta hinge"

Are these the same hinges in the end? (both SM1207)

hope that helps, to help me :D

  • @xXWhatUpDocXx Sorry for any confusion. The DWSM1207 Delta Hinge comes standard on the 5000, 6000, 8000 and 9000 series pedals. Hope that helps to clear things up!

  • @DrumWorkshopInc It does ! Thank yoo. Ordered My DW5002 TD3s yesterday!

  • @xXWhatUpDocXx Great to hear! Let us know how the 5002 Turbo works for you. ;)

  • @DrumWorkshopInc don't worry, just making sure. i just stick with chain drive, either 5000 or 9000.

  • um, can i switch the chain drive on a dw hi hat stand, and do i also need the nylon drive cam with it?

  • @killjoyshidae1208 Sorry Shidae. There is only one type of chain drive for each high hat stand.

  • @DrumWorkshopInc will you guys please create a heelless 9000 pedal?

  • @tubaeuphboyemk4 We will note your suggestion...and it is a very good one! Thanks!

  • hey John, can't stop watching DW vids :P

Here's a Q. I am huge fan of 5000 pedal plate, does 6000 has the same pedal plate? The only plate that fits my foot is 5000 but it's pretty hard to find new DW5000 pedal :)

  • @sunnylee84 The 6000 and 5000 pedal plates are exactly the same size. You are good to go! :)

  • This is like a longboard pedal but shorter :D

  • @ThexteraDrummer True! Almost the same feel also. With the Long-board pedal you will actually feel your heel hitting the pedal. :)

  • Just bought one of these pedals but don't like the chain, can I purchase the DWSP046-4 Strap pack from DW and swap out the chain with the strap?

  • @anp27 You can swap out the chain drive with a strap drive but you will also need the actual Cam for a strap drive. You will also need to order a DWSP045 to swap out the sprocket cam you have presently. You can order these parts on line through dwdrums(dot)com buy clicking on the Shop button in the right hand corner. Please feel free to contact our Customer Service at 1-800-45-Drums ext. 450 to have them explain the process of switching out your cams. Thanks! :)

  • @DrumWorkshopInc Cool, just placed an order for the Nylon Straps and the cam you mentioned. Thank you!

  • @anp27 No problem. Saw the order show up. Thanks very much! The order will ship out tomorrow at the latest.

  • @DrumWorkshopInc Hey there, just wondering, has my order shipped yet?

  • Great! :( but why is mine made in taiwan! I bought it in the states by a authorized retailer. I am a bit dissapointed now!

  • @NikkiStixx86 Sorry for the confusion! They are assembled here with Taiwan parts.

  • is this pedal made in usa?? can somebody tell me...

  • @NikkiStixx86 Yes it is! Right here in our factory in Oxnard, CA!

  • i heard from bob gatzen that the pdp boa's might have a comeback in 2012. will there be new boa hardware? like a remote hat boa?

  • @killjoyshidae1208 We are currently working on some ideas for the Boa. Hopefully we can get it back on the line for next year! Bob has been a great help to us with great innovative ideas!

  • SPEED KING

  • can you say John Henry Bohnam and Speed King? Looks like Ill be selling my 9000 for one of these!

  • Comment removed

  • Can you guys make a 9000 version of this pedal?

  • I like the idea. I really dig the 9000, and use it always, but I might have to give this a go. Very cool dw guys. Hihat stand as well? :) Im sold. Nice. I like how innovative you guys are.

  • @hoostavah thank you! We do not currently have a hi-hat version, but I personally use this pedal with a regular hi-hat and it doesn't feel too strange.

  • @DrumWorkshopInc Thanks!!! Much appreciated. I will be buying the 5000ahd double very soon and probably the 2 leg 5000 hihat stand to go with it.

  • How much does the double pedal version cost?

  • @crissglitch666 we are selling it online (if you live in the US) for $348.99, but you might be able to find it for a little less from an authorized dealer. If not, you can buy it online here bit(dot)ly/dw5k2adh

  • Blah, my problem with DW is that damn chain! It's too fucking heavy! If DW can make either a direct drive, or include a strap instead of that chain, I'd consider actually buying a DW pedal.

  • @DrumKiller2 They make both strap and direct drive pedals...they just aren't as highly marketed.

  • @invaderharpie2112, Really now, do you have a link to where I can find one?

  • @DrumKiller2 it's true. We make a nylon strap version of our 5000 pedal called the ND3 bit(dot)ly/dw5knylon

and every 9000 pedal comes with nylon straps that can be used on the same cam that the chain uses. dwdrums(dot)com/hardware/9000/pedals.asp

  • can you possibly use this pedal in heel toe technique?? coz it has shorter pedal..

  • @fortmcmurray2010 absolutely. Actually, the pedal is just as long. The pedal plate is the same length, you just use the floor instead of the heel plate on a normal pedal. This pedal works great for heel-toe doubles.

  • i currently have a dw 5000 pedal (not heeless) and i love it but i was wondering if it was possible to make it into a double pedal, or if it is just too much money to convert it

  • @Jad233 good question. It would be difficult to do and with the amount you'd spend on parts, you are better off just buying a double. In other words, a new double would be about $100 more than the parts you'd need to convert a single.

  • @DrumWorkshopInc Rich, Is it possible to achieve the same response as the ADH provides by changing the footboard angle on a 9000 to a steeper angle and raising my throne to compensate. Not sure if I fully understand this concept fully, but is it just the change in the angle achieved by lowering the heel or the fact that the heel is lower?

  • @baileyworks53 you might be able to get a similar feeling, but the unique feeling of the heeless is more that your heel is actually touching the ground. I know it sounds a little cliche, but it really does give you a more grounded feeling.

  • @DrumWorkshopInc thanks for the response, I may have to get one of these. I've been toying with the idea by playing my 9000 pedal with my heel off the side, and I like the feel but doing this would kill my ankle after a few songs. Any chance of an upgrade for the 9000?

  • @baileyworks53 we are always looking for ways to improve our current product, as well as develop all-new ones. Nothing is official yet ;)

  • you could have atleast made the pedal longer

  • Theres a Mike packer and then there's a Fudge Packer (Tom Cruise)

  • do u have this type of pedal in 9000?

  • @MeXiCaNrEVa7x we don't have a heeless 9000 yet. it's possible in the future.

  • @DrumWorkshopInc welll if u do .u will have ur 1st costumer here

  • could you ever make a heelless 9000 pedal, cause i'd buy that in a heart beat

  • does the the very back end of the pedal rotate against the floor at all?

  • @FuzzyPicture great question. I use the heelless pedal, but never payed attention to this, so I just investigated. The hinge/footboard sits slightly higher off the ground than the pedal plate it is attached to (the red part). So, if it's on a hard, level surface, the heel of the footplate/hinge would not rub against the floor. But, if you are like most drummers, you set up on a soft carpet or rug. This may cause the heel to sink in a bit, but wouldn't cause damage or hinder the pedal.

  • my brother took lessons from mike packer for over ten years...i saw his prototype years ago! haha great work mike!

  • So it works like a long board yet the foot board is the same length as an ordinary 5000. I think it would have been more appropriate to have done this idea to the 9000 pedal. I still rather spend a little bit more for Axis pedals this video didn't sell me enough.

  • where csn i buy this...i cant find it on amazon

  • @Jabarichonicles I am told the single pedal is on Amazon, but the Double is not yet. You can definitely order it through any of our authorized dealers. You can find the one nearest you by going to dwdrums.com and clicking on "Dealer Locator" on the main nav bar. Thanks for choosing DW and please post here and tell us how you like it!

  • The Memphis Drum Shop has it.

  • @Jabarichonicles Double and single.

  • I wish I had enough to buy double bass pedals like those...

  • Everybody go and get iron cobras, job done

  • Great sounding bass drum :D

  • no prob and yes i can hit triples all day long on this pedal it follows my foot every movement i was thinkin about buying the dw9000 double pedal but instead i think ima order this double pedal to me its the smoothest pedal out....and i will b contacting you guys very soon about my pedal idea...and again thanks...

  • I love this pedal i just got it monday.. people go buy it.. i have an idea and i have sketches of the pedal that i would like to send you guys but i dont kno how to contact you MR. SIKRA..

  • I got the pedal in monday last week. its amazing i love it. and i advise everyone to pick one up for a single its only 201.34 and for a double its 399.99. trust me this pedal dope. people go pick this pedal up its smooth and fast and it hits harder than a regualr dw5000 thats a promise.. and MR. SIKRA.. i have an idea for a pedal that i would love to share with you guys and was wondering how do i get in contact with yall to pitch you guys my idea so that i can send you the sketch of it?

  • @sodacan7 thanks so much for your support! I too only use the heelless pedal ever since I first tried it. It's like cheating :) As far as your idea, we'd love to see it. You can find detailed instructions on our website dwdrums(dot)com/info/faq.asp#submitidea

sorry for the (dot), it's the only way to post a link on youtube comments these days ;) cheers!

  • are all the drum sounds recorded by the zoom h4n?

  • @ikzmod yes indeed! ALL the drum sounds were recorded with the H4n only.

  • why dw havnt done long boards yet just amazes me,....size 8.5?....try 15.5!....god its difficult using ur 5000 haha

  • @punkrockdrummer1990 we make a longboard in our 8000 series. check it out on dwdrums(dot)com

  • @DrumWorkshopInc What's the difference between the 8000 longboard and the 5000 solid footboard pedal? Footboard wise.

  • @Salzcamino that's a great question. I think if you pull up both in 2 separate windows and look at them side by side, you will see many differences. There's the obvious cam and drive system differences between 5k and 8k's, but more than that you'll see that the hinge location is different. This changes the pivot point for the pedal, and therefore the 8000 is more of a true "long board" design because the hinge pivots off the very end of the heel. the 5k is more of a hybrid. hope that helps!

  • @DrumWorkshopInc Yes, I noticed the hinge is placed differently, but I needed that sentence "his changes the pivot point for the pedal" :)

So it makes a feel difference, correct? Thanks for the help!

  • @Salzcamino you got it!

  • lol we realy are running out of ideas

  • Great!

  • Oooh slick idea. I can dig it! Haha can I turn in my current 5K's for a discount on new ones?

  • @tropicaljosiah just sell 'em, then buy the new ones?

  • @SuperDrummerJoe

It was a joke, referring to someone who may have recently purchased 5K's or such.

5K's are tanks, mine have countless gigs and road miles without fail.

However I did replace the bearings with high quality ones, don't understand why companies just did anyway at the factory. *shrug*

  • @tropicaljosiah well i fucking missed that

  • Nice!

  • I'd like to try this pedal.

  • Great! Any idea about the price ?

  • @mentzsana pretty much the same as the 5000's with the heels!

  • Why are most of the innovations applied to the 5000 series? Why not the 9000? I thought the 9000 was more sophisticated. For instance, I wanted the double pedal that was attached to the hi-hat, you know, the one with the hi-hat pedal inside, between the two bass-drum pedals, but it's only on the 5000, and I didn't want to have to settle for less than the 9000 series only to have that subtle innovation.

  • @JeanDenisCote The 9000 series is customizable to anything basically, thats why it has such a high price because of what type of pedal you can make it into

  • i to try this against a normal 5000 bucause it does seemsAWESOME

  • oh, thats a great idea!!!! go DW!

  • without watching this video I'm guessing that the pedal feels more responsive. There should be an attachment though, maybe there is, I'll watch..
