Really pisses me off when bands like HIM make covers of classic Finnish songs. Not so much the song or performer, but when the covers get uploaded to YouTube and fangirls flood the comments section saying how Ville Valo sings so well and sexily, completely overshadowing the original version. Couldn't he just keep to writing his own songs?

I do not know the original versions of these songs, cos I am not Finish, but I do not consider covers made by Valo bad at all. I know, some fangirls sucks but there are also some people who do not worship someone´s appereance and just listen to the music and in that case they can penetrate a bit to Finish music history or traditions.
