Good people of America, don't buy this cheapish toyish looking KitchenAfraid crap. Buy Bosch if you really want quality. Actually the German made ones, they're simply the best. High quality from Europe. Bosch is very well known in Europe for that. Just read consumer reports. Bosch is number one, next to Siemens and Miele.
4 years ago i installed 2 new kitchen aid dishwashers. i still have them i paid about 900 dollars each at sears. i replaced them both with two Bosch. i hope too make a working one out of the two bad kitchen aids and shove the bad one up someone's asshole.

you can get by with a model slightly "louder". Kitchenaid (and all other Whirlpool brands) machines hardly ever need to be pulled out, and can be repaired in its place 90% of the time. Because they are much more popular than Bosch they are often fixed on the first visit due to the probabilty of the parts being in the truck and not special ordered. I ca go on and on but I won't...
Bosch more reliable than Kitchenaid? Are you kidding? I would say 80% of the time you have to pull the Bosch out from under the counter for repairs, and is extremely difficult to repair due to most components being concealed within a silly tanked bottom and to pull them out of course people that own these machines have high end kitchen flooring just to make things more awkward. People can be anal with decibal levels, unless you have a TV room connected to an open plan kitchen very nearby CONT
@1967JT , And what are you smoking? I'd never buy a KitchenAid brand dishwasher now, because they're now made by Whirlpool. We've had our Bosch dishwasher for two years and have never had any problem with it. The dishes come out sparkling, and it's a super quiet machine, so much so, that you have to often times bend down right next to it to hear it. Noise is an issue with many people, as it should be. No one wants to stand next to a machine as loud as a lawnmower in their kitchen

You are splitting hairs with all of the manufacturers in terms of decibal levels, as I pointed out above it is only an issue with a portion of the customers I serve on a daily basis. Appliance technician's professional opinions on appliances I assume would be the most respected of all, as that is what we do, It would be like giving an opinion on someone elses career that I know little or nothing about...
@JT1967JT , All I can say is that noise level of a dishwasher is something important to most of the people I socialize with, as it should be. I can't tell you how many complaints I've received about Maytags sounding like trash compactor rams because their noises are so jarring. And what is so hard about making a dishwasher quiet anyway? It's not rocket science. Many of the problems with dishwashers as you address, may come from bad installation, which most people can't discern.
@SpazChat You're right, making a dishwasher quiet is not rocket science, it's mostly about soundproofing the door and casings. Many problems come from bad installations? Are you a tech that works on 7-10 dishwashers a day? I might see a couple of bad installs per month at the most that contribute to poor performance or "noise" issues. Are you a salesman?...my findings in customer homes working on all brands and knowing them inside and out pales in comparison with knowing what's on a sales sheet.
@1967JT If you're pulling Bosch dishwashers out 80% of the time, then it's because you;re trying to run up the bill. The only time it has to come out is when you're replacing the circulation pump motor. The majority of repairs are the drain pump motor: controller or the water inlet valve - which are all accessible without pulling machine out. The only brand I'd might put ahead of Bosch, is Miele.

Apparently this guy was just hired for his looks. Yes you have to clean the Bosch filter out, but what he fails to tell people is that this isn't a big deal. We have a Bosch dishwasher and there is hardly ever anything in that filter. It's quiet, yes, about 43 decibels quiet. That's as quiet or quieter than a refrigerator. . Kitchen Aid dishwashers have food disposers which is for some reason what a lot of Americans want. This adds a lot of noise to the machine and can be repair prone.
@SpazChat Dont know what the salesman is talking about, but the Bosch also grinds up food and disposes it out drain, also. I have yet to clean the filter in my Bosch DW. The thing that seperates Bosch from the rest is the in-line heater. Because its so efficient, I use quick wash for all washing needs.
