R.I.P John I am shocked to learn of your passing via the internet, I have many fond memories of you going back to our primary school days, I have known you now for 40 years and in that time I have always concidered you a mate, Its not very often that i get a tear in my eye, but news of your passing has left me much saddened, you were a hero to many and a great bloke to know, we are going to miss you mate.condolences to all of your family and many race fans and freinds

John you were the best. Simple as that. If anyone could epitomize what Australian Powerboat racing was all about, the speed, the driving, the carefree yet in-your-face attitude, it was you. I am glad a sport I am associated with had such a great ambassador to the world. No one could do it like you. No one will ever do it like you did. You will be missed.
