  • If you sell the stuff you make i would buy that in a heartbeaat

  • wow that was actually pretty bad ass

but i fucking hate steam punk

  • Cool!!

  • AWESOME WIN

  • will it blend?

  • will it amlify it more if you have more / biger tubes?

  • it wont charge?

  • @D1SStRoY Yeah it does. Wood carries wood-energy, so the wood charges it.

  • @householdhacker is it hardwood or softwood?

  • can i connect them permanently with sweat joints?

  • I only went to the bands channel because of the girls in the the preview at the end and i regret every second of it. Possibly the worst band I've ever heard

  • you should have just put two holes because the iphone has 2 speakers, hence the two identical holes on each side.

  • @daxterreid ...One sides the mic, the other is the speaker... Put your ear up to both of them, you can here the sound diffrence =P

  • dude quit touching my wood!!!!!

  • Can I just buy this?

  • if u lazy put ur phone in a bowl works pretty well

  • Is Skyrim the reason why you dont make videos so often anymore?

  • @NoPancaceMix4u no, he hates skyrim. He told us.

  • What if you have an iPhone 3gs?

  • @TheAviatorMusic THROW IT AWAY AND GET A 4S xD

  • @dedosmecos But my contract won't let me!!! X|

  • 1:58 hole is glued

    2:33 hole is not

  • @wesleymaker

He filmed it before he glued it

  • This guy never took a shop class before, it's obvious.

  • @BPinard i think its class, something to do when your bored??? dont hate....

  • Apowara it is not $5.00 it's 25p

  • Combine this with the box projector. That'd be cool.

  • @24holymoly technically, yes, but it is the same idea as the bathtub effect. The more it echoes, the louder it gets

  • @t1l3gjo4 I think it would work, but it would have to be exactly identical, or the sound would be off.

  • that sounded HORRIBLE. lol the tinnest boomiest sound.

And copper is expensive, be better to find an actual dock! haha

cool idea though. Just run it through a 32 band eq.

  • 1:24

    how about a router?

  • I did this and I kept adding bigger and bigger pieces of copper pipe. It got reaaally loud in my house. I measured the sound and got +25 decibels!

  • mono..

  • @DJJonosound Im actually making tgat in stereo using earphones and leading the sound from them to the wood

  • nextime take a dremmel xD

  • I'm impress I gona do that tomorrow that sees like a great project

  • 1:24 dremel?????

  • im so usig this if i end up in woodshop

  • go further make a hole for the charging cable

  • why'd you stop making videos

  • lol you said pvc and then you said any old metal...

  • You can make anything made from copper and call it 'Steampunk'

  • oh man, learn how to safely handle those tools!

  • nice, i love all your vids, thanks. and you should make a video on how to make a working disco ball or something like that.

  • The question is.... Will it blend?

  • Dude.. That's fucking sick.

  • can you make a vid showwing how to make it with a bike horn?

  • Thats pretty cool, but you should add some of the spills (or how are they calles in english?) to the woodglue before filling the hole and drang and stain it when it´s dried. That would look better;) It really works!

    Sorry for my bad english!

  • hey, i've been trying to take hold of free recycled memory, i found that many DVD's are rewrite-able, however they are almost always write protected, i was wondering if you could make a tutorial to format a write protected DVD. thanks :D

  • wouldnt it just echo it

  • Modify the board to match the speaker in the phone or MP3 device and you are set for what you happen to own.

  • only one problem, what if the unit you're using does not have the speaker right there?

  • @psinjo I'm sure your smart enough to figure something out...

  • Audiophiles are in uprage.

  • what's up with your voice

  • @vijithaneil

    I can't freaking tell.

It sounds like wall-e having sex with a speak&spell.

  • make me one ill give you 5 dollars

  • this is a good trick

  • anyone else instinctively blow @ 1:55 to clear the sawdust?

  • OMG MAKE A HOLE FOR THE CHARGER. BOOM IPOD/IPHONE HOME!

  • Now make it stereo...

  • @DJJonosound iPhones don't have stereo speakers

  • @DJJonosound not that hard, use your brain

  • @TheCrownlssKingProto Dude, its a damn joke, and iphones dont have stereo speakers according to some other dude.

  • @HouseholdHacker so what was the device beside the speaker when u were testing it? was it a device to measure the decibels?

  • @zombietroll55

i guess it was the recorder for the sound in the video

  • @zombietroll55 Recording device made by Zoom. I'm assuming that the editing software he uses has a VU meter in it

  • would adding another tunnel and copper amp increase the sound more?

  • this shit is AWSOME ;)

  • I WANT IT!!

  • cool i love how its eco freindly

  • Sir please do jailbreak blackberry playbook.. tnx! God bless!

  • 1:18 thats what she said.

  • 0:30 thats what she said lol

  • I didn't know PVC piping was metal

  • @123jacobjo its not luls

  • I put the little holder thingy that i got from my ipod. I cut off the bottom and made it fit and painted the wood black :p

  • Do a video on how to amplify a WiFi signal.

  • can you do a stereo version of it?

  • lol if you used pvc it wouldn't be very steampunkish now would it?

  • you shold stain it

  • 0:52 fuck that i just blow that shit off

  • COOOOOOOOOOL!!

  • LAIK A DAWK 1:21

  • @FickleFrett

the new iphones have two speakers so you could do stereo

  • @spartan7126 no they don't

  • If you would have drilled the "tunnel" through the back, you'd have avoided an ugly hole filled with glue in the front.

  • once i hit 20 subs there is a giveaway so sub me

  • why not do stereo?

  • I think you should use a vice before you drill or chisel you hand up!

  • im gonna try to make a store version

  • 1:55 "looks pretty awesome"

    NOOOOOOOO... looks ghetto as fuck.

  • @LucasHolmes gtfo troll

  • @shadowprodigyx Fuck you.

  • @LucasHolmes im good thx tho

  • @shadowprodigyx Hit me up when your not good

  • the quality of the sound is really bad

  • Weird vacuum.

  • What a great DIY project!! But will my iPod fit in it

  • Do want/need to build.

  • Comment removed

  • HE FINALLY MADE A REAL SPEAKER

  • @Voxerlite it is an amplifier

  • @FluxReductionMC thats what a speaker is, amplified noises

  • cool

  • This an awesome little DIY project! I'd suggest giving the wood a varnish or bit of dressing up and maybe a deliberately messy paint job on the metal piping for a nicer look. oh and putting a wooden plug to seal the hole might make it function a tiny bit better!

  • WHY??????!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm gonna figure out a way to modify it so i can charge my phone at the same time.

  • any chance you can get me exact dimensions and amount used of copper fitting used

  • lol I bet nobody realizes that this is tecnology from the 1800's. They just made it the shape of a cone and then they used it as a phonograph bell. :P They did the same method up until the first electric speakers really took off in sales. Then the phonograph bells were no longer made.

  • could you double it? like drilling another hole, buying extra copper fittings, and having two copper speakers come out of the side? i think that would look cooler, but that's why it is DIY

  • fucking

    sweet

  • I would sand the edges down to keep it from scratching your device!

  • make a steampunk bong!!!!

  • pvc is plastic fuuuuuuuuufffffffffffff

  • Sigh This would night work with my Galaxy.. The speaker is in the back. O.Q

  • @Omega0350 Then you need to make the dock so that the Galaxy lays one it's back, mark and dig out a hole that connects to the duct that leads to the copper piping and your done. How? I could tell you, but this is a DYI. Just experiment and think about the problem and you should figure it out.

Ps. You might have to create more than one dock, but that shouldn't be a problem as you can re-use the copper piping instead of buying several sets if you do fail at your first attempt.

  • oh my god thats amazing!!! cant wait to try it in wood shop:)

  • Holy shit what kind of music is that?

  • Though you can hear the differences in it BUT YEAH UMM I think it would have been nice if the guy would just shut up and not talk while they are trying to show the difference in sound.

  • an new spin on old record player technology

  • You could do this...

    Or buy an iHome?

  • @cashmoney268 you're missing the point of "household" hacker...unless you have the knowledge to build a household iHome...

  • soooooo lame

  • Does the length of the tube make any difference in the volume of the sound?

  • @Arat1t1 it does.

  • Make something like that for samsung galaxy tab 10.1 and i will make a video response!

  • you are fucken crazy...axaxax good job.. u can put your penis inside too, if u want to fuck ..xaaxax 2 in 1

  • if you put a screen on the copper you can smoke your weed first then be blown away by the amplification. :p

  • @1wayward9 hahahahha laughed my ass off :DDDD

  • Thats awesome!

  • 0:51 is that a home made vacuum??

  • @skelseys It looks like a Shark. (Brand of vacuum).

  • @skelseys no, i have one, shark makes it

  • @skelseys Nope, Chuck Testa.

  • or you could just buy a $3 iphone speaker.....

  • @Spamabilities Yah but this versions more awesomer

  • Classic!!

  • why the hell are you sooooo smart !!!!!

  • why the hell are you sooooo smart !!!!!

  • wouldn't it be better to make two amplifiers because there are two speakers

  • @STUFFAROUNDHERE You fucking retard.

  • I have a modified version for the ipod Classic. Works like charm.

  • should have done two pipes, for the left hand speaker too

  • @dmkitsch theres only one speaker dipshit. the other hole is the mic.

  • This is sik but i would rather get speakers from future shop

  • Ithought this was HOUSEHOLD hackers...

  • @TheBagContainsWHAT Everything there can be bought or found someplaces home. Depends on what you work is or hobbys etc

  • @11dannad Just make make the wood base bigger? O.o I guess its the same concept but with a few adjustments in size i guess. xD

  • What do we do if we have an iPad? :/

  • *Even more steampunk* paint the wood purple...

  • on glass table. LIKE A BAUSE!

  • easy way to alplify music on your phone:

step 1:get empty box (tussue boxes or poptart boxes work best)

step 2:place speaker of phone onto the top of the box

    step 3:louder music

  • So, would I get more amplification of sound with a smaller hole, or a larger hole leading to the pipe?

  • @BarnabytheTuxedoCat i wanna kno this too

  • You should giveaway the projects once your done. Just a suggestion! :)

  • question: what would happen when u make a whole pipesystem trough a chamber and then plug it in? you still have loud music or no music?

  • Are you jesus?

  • You make louder sound but loose fidelity at high and low frequencies. Make 3 pipes: a thick one that tapers off at the end (like a trombone), the one pictured above for midrange, and a thin (possibly 1/4inch internal diameter) pipe.

Also the less curves the better.

  • You can use a small piece of doweling to plug the hole in the front to use less glue and make it look better.

  • hmmmmmmm. You could have made it charge the ipod too with the charge cable only take off the fitting for the wall socket and replace it with some sort of battery then make anther hole beside the speaker one. OR you could just plug it in and run the cable through a hole in the wood. That would make it way better.

  • I remember when i subscribed to this channel, but i dont remember WHY i subscribed to it. So im unsubscribing as your videos are so boring i'd rather watch Rebecca Black.

  • @azn2luv123 actually the first generation iHome

  • it looks like an old record player
