I really respect the fact that Rick usually calls in an expert to find out the value and authinticity of items. I would just ask first how much they are looking to sell the item for. The show is History. The items and the trade goods for cash. Awesome show. I wish Ihad my own pawn shop, there are tons of great things out there to buy that a lot of the people just dont want anymore.

I saw the old man but didn't really get a chance to talk to him. I was there on a Sunday and everyone else on the show works M-F. I was in incredible awe as to how pawn shopish that pawn shop looked, but they do have some pretty sweet items you would never find anywhere else.

The show features interesting characters though it doesn't go into much depth.

Rick would be successful at anything he does in life.

There is nothing dishonest about what they're doing. They're buying low and selling for a higher price. That is what every business does. I think there is a huge difference between pawnshops and payday loans. payday loans are loan sharks. Yes these guys are tough negotiators, but that's the nature of their business.

Yeah, its like when they say "this sword is worth between 2000 and 4000..." you should know its going to be a rip off. Ether its worth more, or they say a high and a low to make it sound like 2000 is a good deal for a sword worth 4000+.
