  • This is why moths are always drawn to the warmth of the Light. Hi my names Hilk, I am a christian but I was wondering, how exactly did you arrive at your conclusions for your belief in athiesm ?

  • @Hilkulele I wouldn't really describe it as a belief in atheism, because it's not as if atheism is something to believe in, it's just a term used to describe the lack of belief in a god or gods. Discounting that, I arrived at said conclusions because I let go of the cultural conditioning that I had experienced with regards to spirituality and the desolation that philosophy induced, and simply looked at the evidence. The evidence led me to my spiritual conclusion.

  • Happy holidays :)

  • Never stop being as cool. Smart is good. Enjoy your time there. hope you have a great new year.

  • @Bendersound Same to you :)

  • MERRY CHRISTMAS !! Tori!! :) and i was the one of the many people who asked! haha, though i didn't say i didn't say it is stupid or anything ;) x

  • no, theres now way I can tell what you care about. Even after all your videos talking about things you care about. lol. You care about critical thinking, no? You don't care about history? oh

  • @lookadeez I care about history. However, I don't care enough about what Christmas was like 2000 years ago to change how I celebrate it today.

  • @AwesomeRants cool.Christians care enough to revise names and history as they see fit though.I wonder if you care about that. wouldn't wanna jump to anymore conclusions about you.

  • @lookadeez Why you tryin' to pick a fight, bro?

  • @janejolly85 lol I'm not. I just disagreed is all.

  • I think you woulda been better off at not explaining what you're NOT gonna explain, and just say ya like Christmas. Ya kinda ended up still seeming too intllectual and NOT feeling. But hey, your channel.

  • @lookadeez K.

  • happy solstice

  • indeed Philippines has the best christmas celebrations no? with all the noche buena ... etc.

    :D

  • I can see where you're coming from...and partially agree. In that case then...why not say "Happy Winter Solstice"? Isn't THAT what you're describing?

  • @terryshed No. I'm describing a holiday called Christmas. It's fun. It's enjoyable. And to change its name wouldn't be fun or enjoyable.....it would be pointless.

  • @AwesomeRants do you think it was enjoyable and fun when they introduced it 2000 or so years ago? It's called self determination. That's the point. Not being mean, it's just what i think

  • @lookadeez I don't care what it was like 2000 years ago. My family and I use the term "Christmas" to describe a holiday on the 25th of December on which we exchange gifts and have fun. I will continue to use the term for the same purpose.

  • @AwesomeRants oh, you do care. I've watched your videos. All of a sudden, you don't care? ok

  • @lookadeez How do you know what I care and don't care about? You don't. Period.

  • @AwesomeRants BTW I'm a huge fan, and very proud of you. This is the only thing I've ever disagreed with you about. Well, not the only, but largely, I CARE about things you say, and I'm happy you're here. Happy holidays!

  • @lookadeez That's fine, but I don't really think that there's much to disagree about.

  • @AwesomeRants

For you, it's pointless, because you know what you mean, and there's no need for you to change.

But seriously: It's not 'changing it's name, to say 'happy winter solstice'; the winter solstice happens, and for some people, that's what they say.

It's changing what *you say*, it's not changing *it's name*.

    There is a difference.

  • @PurpleGhost Yes, it's changing what I say. But my point remains.

  • Merry christmas you sexy beast ;) the beginning made me realize how much i miss you bitchess.

  • @LogicGeekaTV Awwww haha :)

  • you've got the best camera ever! I see someone else was curious about it. I'm glad you have some substance to your vids too! keep up the good work.

  • Merry Christmas, and please accept this non physical Norwegian snow ball to cool you down, if you need it ;-)

  • Merry Christmas to you too!, dear one. :o)

  • I love this channel&you, keep it up.

  • looking youtube profile.

    seeing a 13 yo girl reads 1984.

    subscribing.

  • Avoid the true purpose of Christmas...

  • What kind of camera do you use?

  • @NateTalksToYou Canon EOS 600D (known as the Rebel T3i in American markets). 50mm f/1.2 II lens.

  • @AgrivatedKillah You're probably right there. It was originally a pagan festival that was eventually adopted by Christianity as a date in which to celebrate the birth of Christ. No one is really sure when Christ was born anyway.

  • I'm an atheist.. I don't really care about christmas tbh... it's just a plot to really get people to buy shit.

  • Merry christmas young lady, Thx for the vids and I hope this coming year brings you all that you want :)

  • @Monty250 Same to you :)

  • the reason for the season is that earth's axis is tilted, spreading the density of the photons that hit us, making it cold as fuck. The reason for the holiday was both Roman Polytheism, and a reaction to it being cold as fuck because cold is less depressing when you are dancing around and shit, and the free time that the whether presented, since most people had to farm but can't do that when it's snowing...

  • @TheRepublicOfUngeria Christianity is the reason that the holiday was neutered from a full week of hedonistic fun to 1 tame day of family togetherness. We should do the original week of Saturnalia from the 17th to the 23rd for the adult hedonistic part. Not only will it be awesome, but it will make us appreciate Christmas day even more.

  • It is like a bunch of other holidays. Example Halloween is now about dressing up and having a party vs when it used to be the day to get in touch with your dead friends and family. Valentines day which i think is a christian saint (saint valentine) is celebrated by everyone muslims jews atheists and is viewed as a day for romance or even just friends. One day the world may wise up and become 95 percent atheist but Christmas may still be celebrated as a day to love one another.

  • Want some cold? I send you a nice -26 C.

    Merry Christmas :).

  • I'm an atheist and I love Christmas!! It was also more about Santa and the atmosphere that surrounded Xmas than the whole Jesus thing for me growing up so I'm gonna keep celebrating like that!

  • I'm an atheist but little do people know, and nor do i care what they think but.....I fucking love christmas. Not because of Jesus, or the original pagan holiday it is, but its a holiday for the family, giving and taking and recieving and all that fun shit. and then the food too. Yeah...good times. I like what your going girl, keep doing it.

  • ^^ Dayum this girl is good!! :)

  • Axial tilt is the reason for the season.

  • @TheMessianicManic Well said.

  • @TheMessianicManic lol awesome

  • I don't do christmas anymore and i like it that way. I like the solstice for the same reason the pagans did, i.e. it's the half way marker for winter and means that the dark nights start to get lighter and the days longer. Scottish winters are long and slightly depressing, knowing it's half way through is good.

I don't have a problem with other people celebrating it as long as they leave me out of it.

Oh yea and ... Merry Christmas.

  • I'm not an atheist but not a Christian or agnostic purely either. I tend to agree, for the most part, what I likes about Christmas. I won't deny that this year I haven't been as enthusiastic but it is hard to be immune to its effects.

  • I'm glad that you are part of us. Reason and logic...

  • I'd be so proud to have a granddaughter like you. Lovely

  • I like the presents. I like consuming excessive amounts of alchohol. I like time off work. I dislike the god element.

  • I'm not a Christian but the holiday spirit is comforting

  • How many countries have you lived in Tori?

  • @rnsharkey Just 4, but I visit a lot of other places.

  • I feel the same way too. I'm an atheist, but I still love the Christmas lights on people's houses. I love the glow of Christmas tree's. I love Christmas parties and Christmas parades. And yes, I even love the old Christmas songs. It is festive. nice video and Happy Holidays!

  • Merry Pagan winter festival-mas :~)
