  • when will this film be released?

  • this is very very well done i want to watch the whole story...i can't believe how skinny and boney she got and omg she made herself blind that was crazy shit...

  • When is the full thing available?

  • I am doing my masters in Psych. I love the fact that you are doing the film on this patient but I always feel insulted when people put horror music in movies/docs about the mentally ill.

  • @SRNF I must express that this is in no shape or form a horror film. We have teamed up with the Derry family in order to create a half doc/ half feature that is both the Derry version of he story and the mental health professionals account of her story. This is just a demo of what will be a full length feature that tastefully gives you her entire journey. Both the Derry family and the mental health professionals have given us their thumbs up and approval on both the film and this demo.

  • Also I appreciate your comment and will take it into consideration when editing the final film and score.

  • @SRNF Also: I want to add the this project is constantly changing and we are currently trying to find a way to blend both modern music with scoring more specific to her era. From an editors stand point this film is not only about the integrity of her story, but also a personal endeavor to brake the typical mold for the scoring of docudrama films. We edited an example using a popular artis'ts music to show investors a possible direction. Refer to The Mysterious Rhoda Derry:Tragic Love

  • @ofdoomproductions Yes, I know its not a horror film, that was my point with the music. It is about a real story and a real person. I was merely focusing on the music aspect of your upcoming documentary.

I've volunteered in a mental hospital and I have gotten to know many of the seriously ill patients. Whenever I watch documentaries it really always hurts me to hear this stereotypical scary music being played.

I mean what are they, sub-humans?

Really takes away from the message of your labor.

  • @SRNF Thank you for your kind words and yes we def take opinions into consideration. As far as the dark music is concerned...You must also realize this is not just a story about a mental patient, it is also a story rooted in witchcraft...as it plays a very large part in rhoda's family history. The movie is not just about rhoda..its about her relatives as well and their ties to an early German form of witchcraft. The doc will be anything but stereotypical, this is just a demo. Wait and see :)

  • @SRNF When the Executive Producer and I met in 2009, it was agreed that her story would be as accurate and true as our knowledge of the historical facts and events surrounding her life would reveal, and though witchcraft played a part in my g-g-aunt Rhoda’s young life, it would not be the main plot of her story as myth and legend may have suggested. However, witchcraft did play a germane role, and is portrayed in the film with my blessing. The film will not be stereotypical...I promise.

  • @ofdoomproductions again, I must thank you for making this film and hope you take my feedback into your final cut.

Music is great but the right deliverance is essential. It is great that you guys are open minded about making changes still.

    Look forward to seeing it!

  • Can't wait to see the whole thing! This woman's story has captured me for quite some time now

  • poor poor woman my heart goes out to her i hope shes gone to a better place now and is at peace the poor woman never got any peace when she was alive her story is so sad RIP Rhoda

  • Nicely done.

The human experience often spans more than we'd like to admit.

  • @RightArmProductions Thank you mann!!!! only a small portion of an hour and a half story. Now we are currently trying to get funding to finish the full-length. So far we are almost at $2000 in donations!!! People seem to really want to see this story finished. People are amazing. Thanks for taking the time to watch this!!! Good to hear from you!!!

  • What's strange is that she lived to be 66 years old with that kind of health she was in lived longer than what the life expectancy was back then. Its was around 40 to 50 years what people lived too back then. Man she loved that Man soo much she went crazy after he left her.

  • @1968DodgePolara Thank you!!!! She actually lived to be 72! Her tombstone is wrong and we have the proof!! Will reveal all when full-length is done. You will also learn about the man she loved and his mother. We know so much more than we could have ever hoped for. I will tell you this, Her boyfriends mother is not completely what you would expect. Thank you for taking the time to watch this!!!

  • @ofdoomproductions I thought something was wrong it did not add up at 2:00 its says she met this Guy and fell in Love in 1850 making her 10 years old by her Tombstone and at 1:49 he says she was 16 now that makes since could have been both ways I thought it was a typo in the Year at 2:00 should have been 1846 that was my guess because people don't Live that long back then But man 72 off the charts back then with that bad health she was in poor Woman.

  • @1968DodgePolara what probably happened, cause those things happened in those days, she was probably poisoned (given something nasty to eat) by the mother of the neighbour. there was a homeless in my granma's village who was called the "architect" cause he had in fact been an architecture student, who went crazy after an affair with a woman, and people used to say someone, a jealous girlfriend, gave him something.

  • @imafuckinglunatic Interesting point posin can damage the brain too a point of no healing can help. I found out it was a mistake on the tombstone she was born in 1834 she lived to be 72 long live back then and suffer from that illness to. What a same .

  • @1968DodgePolara I found 1834 as well.

  • this is really well made and truly scary that a person could be locked away like that .

  • @DumDumShow Thank you so much. Yes very sad story, and this is only a small taste. There is so much more. Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.
