Ifrastructure jobs which will be given to a company based in china thats what i've herd. The Presidents, Bush and Obama had no right to bailout any bussiness without the American people given the right to vote on such a measure. Noting that the federal reserve is private owned and answers to no one. I have a soloution the fifth amendment and all inside is the taxpayers. I bet they would answer then.

Whoever is screening these comments for Boehner, will you please let him know...that the more he defies this president, the more idiotic he looks. Boehner's image has already be signicantly damaged by his actions over the payroll tax, and now a condom issue? Really? There are so many more important issues to confront for the American people. @davidwarner322 .. HR3012 is about redistribution of Green Cards and creating a single queue for applicants and enforcing a FirstInFirstOut policy. It is not about increasing the number of Green cards. Small countries might complain about the FIFO policy.. coz.. if it took 1 year for them now, it might take 3-4 years after the bill is passed. No body likes to stand in Queue right..?

@davidwarner322 ...(cntd..) Regarding foreign workers coming in... There is no on "coming in". These are not H1B visas.. These are Greencards. These Green Card applicants have already crossed 2 phases of 3 phases. There are already here in USA in a job , many of them for the past 10+ years working for the same company, otherwise their GC application will go waste. So, there is no new job going to them, it is a job they already are holding for a decade.

You are correct as far as 7% visa usage is concerned, but the countries who dont make use of their quota, the visas are redistributed to other countries and categories. Bottom line is there were X visas before the bill and there will be X visas even after the bill is passed.

Secondly, Americans who are qualified will get a job. period. Especially software industry. Check craigslist in silicon valley and you will see plenty of high paying jobs.. (cntd..)

Fairness to High skilled immigrants is overdue for a long time. It enforces First in First Out policy for hiring foreign workers. It doesn't increase even one Visa. This way America can hire best with out discriminating based on Country of Origin.

Just as Jennifer Wedel pointed out to the POTUS this week, there are americans right now who are qualified for high tech jobs but are not employed.

Or, are you saying that every single American who is qualified for a high tech job has one.

The persons who benefit would be the foreign workers, and definitely the corporates, since they would have a larger pool of people , reducing wage competition.

DEFINITELY, it aint US citizens who are benefitting :)

@ravigottapu And yes, it does increase the number of people coming in to the country. Earlier , each country had 7% of X visas, there by capping the usage, since many countries did not use their whole quota.

Now, India and China will use up 50% of X each, thereby ensuring that the maximum number of foreign workers get to come in , each year.

Something that people dont seem to get is that currently the # of people taking our jobs, are restricted by the fact that each country only gets 7% of the available green cards. Once 3012 is passed, India and China will take 50% each on the first day of each Financial year :(

Thus ensuring that a massive 140K or so foreign workers actually do use the employment visa numbers.

Not sure about the other stuff he is talking about. But the "Fairness to high skilled immigrants' act, proposed by the republicans is the most amazing piece of skulduggery I have see in recent times.

How is a bill that redistributes all the employment green cards to India and China (which obviously have employed massive lobbying) is going to help american workers. Kudos to Sen Grassley who has placed a hold on it

Look at it in detail, and one sees how it actually increases # of foreign workers.
