I'm from the UK but I don't think an 8 year old will be able to see this as Bane is described as "brutal" and a "terroist". Any just to answer your question, I don't believe Batman will die. The film is being rebooted in 2014.

Who the hell told you that DC bought Pixar? Pixar is owned by Disney. You must be thinking of Disney buying Marvel. Besides...Disney hasn't had much impact or effect on what Marvel has done. They've chosen to let Marvel do their thing. Just look at the new Ghost Rider flick and the new Spiderman. Disney just bought Marvel to add a little more money in their pockets.

@kingbats45 I'm pretty positive (just by the imagery that they are releasing in posters and such) that this will be the end of Bruce Wayne. I think Wayne will die, but the Batman will live on. I'm speculating that Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character will assume the role of Batman (albeit in a different manner than Wayne did). Of course, this is purely speculatory, we will see when we finally get to dig into this movie.

@kingbats45 the saga will never end! He's one of the most popular and favourite character out there. The Batman franchise holds too much money to just "end". Although this will be the last Chris Nolan film doesnt mean it'll be the last film. :)

I seen Bane and catwomen on set. Bane is the main "villian" and I'd think catwomen would be neutral in there. I also seen and heard about another villian called Talia al Ghul who is the daughter of the villian in the first reboot

Talking with the production workers. Later that day we even walked through the set by accident after they wrapped. It was pretty cool seeing the props, extras, and I seen that Joseph Gordon-Levitt guy. They clear the roads and wrap insanely fast. By the time we got to the other block the road that looked like it went through a war zone was already clear.
