I was on the water this year and I saw shooters gun down a flock of swans, and then refuse to collect them because they would have been fined for it.

another point to remember is that pretty much every duck hunter owns a well trained retreiver. the birds that are picked up to be rescued are actually picked up before the hunter has time to get ther. all this is bullshit propaganda! if these useless characters actually put ther time into sumthing worthwhile like looking after the species of duck as a whole, like the hunters do and not care about each individual bird, then mayb they would be doing sumthing worthwhile for the environment.
on the other hand though, the "rescuers" actually cause more grief to the birds instead of actually helping them. take the swan for example, why take it out of the swamp in the first place. all they did was stress the bird and then frickn release it. lol
every duck hunter passes a waterfowl identification test which teaches the hunter each and evry species of duck. thats why no hunters shoot swans, greibs etc. but according to this hunters shoot at all waterfbirds! lol wat an absolute joke!

Your exactly right my friend, people ar dying from no basic medical treatment or food, and these idiots are running around with state of the art medical centres to look after birds that are stolen from hunters. Hunters that have passed theory tests and are hunting legally!

these absolute no hopers are wasting time, money and ofcourse resources for absolutley no reason. these are the extremists that have ruined so many industries and thus jobs for autralians. look at the wool industry for instance, these are the types of ppl that absolutley ruined it. these ppl should actually be put in jail!
i strongly believe in environmental sustainability and protection wer ther has to be. if a resource (e.g ducks) can be used without affecting there population, y not?

another point to remember is that pretty much every duck hunter owns a well trained retreiver. the birds that are picked up to be rescued are actually picked up before the hunter has time to get ther. all this is bullshit propaganda! if these useless characters actually put ther time into sumthing worthwhile like looking after the species of duck as a whole, like the hunters do and not care about each individual bird, then mayb they would be doing sumthing worthwhile for the environment.

on the other hand though, the "rescuers" actually cause more grief to the birds instead of actually helping them. take the swan for example, why take it out of the swamp in the first place. all they did was stress the bird and then frickn release it. lol
every duck hunter passes a waterfowl identification test which teaches the hunter each and evry species of duck. thats why no hunters shoot swans, greibs etc. but according to this hunters shoot at all waterfbirds! lol wat an absolute joke!

This is frickn helerious. iv never seen so many no hope wankers in one spot at the same time. the hunters shown in the film as "murderers" are all environmentalist. they are the only people that actually go out every year clean the wetlands, put nest boxes up, help in the eradication of pest animals during the duck breeding season to help in the protection of them. hunting is done only in the years that it is viable to do so.

Doing it for Jesus just won't get you there pal. Monoethist religions like Christianity do promote a 'humans are better, therefore it's ok to kill' mentality. However shooting defenceless water birds is not environmental management and religion is a pissweak excuse for this behaviour.

You've missed the point there my friend - I'd LOVE shooters to go out and eliminate pest animals imported by early white settlers. But I guess there's bugger all native wildlife left in the Old Dart anyway. which is why twerps like you don't really get it.

Aahh the assumptions.... I am a rural person actually. Native water birds are not pests. Rabbits, foxes, feral cats & deer certainly are. They compound the the problems caused by weeds, removal of native vegetation, over grazing & old fashioned cropping techniques. Sure you do know what you're talking about?

hmmm im not sure you do. Emus, native birds and kangaroos cause considerable damage in both cropping and pastoral areas. Native water birds are problems in some districts where vegetation and cropping are suited to their habitats.

Na i actually think uv missed the total point here. The point that hunters push across and twerps like u dnt realise is that ducks are in a state, due to a lot of voluntary work done by hunters and hunter organisations such as field and game and australian shooters assoc. where as they can be harvested sustainably under strict regulations. i guess twerps like u just dnt get it!

Watching dickheads in combat dressups shoot at native water birds in a dried up wetland in 2006 was like watching fish being shot in a barrel.
If they were real men they'd do the country a favour and shoot foxes, rabbits & deer. But no... that would require skill & brains which these idiots don't have.
The moratorium on Victorian duck shooting in 2007 & 2008 due to climate change has saved birds - no water, no ducks.
Anyone who helps our wildlife or tries to stop duck shooting is a legend.

dude you need skill to shoot ducks man you have a try you guys cant stop everything it s good you see thre only shooting ducks once a year not everyday so carm down why dont you complain about a animal thts nearlly extinct i hate duck shooting but im glad its only once a year and people shooting ducks in dry wetland s is good less there are the means ducks wont die from heat stroke and and dehidrate love yah comment but not necessary
