at first i never understood why people were so mad at BP for this oil spill. they have boats and almost every technology they can think of cleaning up this oil spill. BUT i personally feel this negative publicity is useful in that, it makes sure that BP knows they can NOT just clean up the surface. and too just leave it and hope everyone leaves them alone is not an option.

I think hydralics pinching the pipe closed, and drilling new taps to relieve pressure would help a lot.. all options are open, however can oil be frozen,{ Cooled down} so it could be contained easier? Dry ice ammonia refrigerated lines? the quicker the better.. dome will probably float, i agree...

They should drop a bomb on the well head to seperate it from the bent pipe. Then they should drop a box with an enormus amount of ballast onto the well head guideing it down with cables running through pullies anchored to the seafloor. It would probably be like pushing a bar of soap under water with one finger but with the cables it should be doable.

The dome idea will fail.... It will simply float back up to the surface once its fill, is that the best engineers could think off...Sad really
