The Crash mutant series is less than a sequel and more of a childish spinoff with improved combat, better graphics, and only 10% like the first.
Wanting to stay in the past is juvenile. I have played and loved MGS (Just finished it yesterday for the first time), but haven't played 4 or 2 and 3. But I will, and am looking forward to it. Yeah, Silent Hill is still a game. Improved combat and better graphics is right. Now, if you can use your imagination, you can see dozens of ways to augment and improve the formula, making it a top-class game. It just needs extra elements and some stuff back from the old games (Ex:Crystals, Gems, bazooka).

The Yuktopus, Uka Uka and Arachnina bosses were, in terms of size and strength, better than Warped's bosses. They just had no little personality, unlike Dingo, Tropy and N-Gin who were superior in that aspect. N-Gin also had epic boss fights, which they need to bring back. Imagine Jacking the mech from Warped. So? Would you prefer getting the Crystals again? It's the same crap, and Radical did NOT fuck up the game. They improve the main game, but never got the chance to complete either game.

Crash has good physical strength (look how far he throws that contraption of Coco's, which explains how he stuns the Mutants) and 2. Aku Aku is a magical mask, and he uses his magic energy to take over the bodies of the Mutants. @vgman94 No, drastic change isn't bad at all, if you do it right. Take Pac-Man World 1,2, and 3 for example. Pac Man still eats ghost, but from a 3rd-person perspective. There's traps, bosses, enemies, power-ups, cutscenes, a good story, and Pac-Man has an awesome personality, built off a yellow dot with a mouth. But the darndest thing about Pac-Man World, it's still owned by NAMCO, the original publisher. Pac-Man World gets the platforming right, gets the characters right, and pleases the fans.

@crazyworld014 I got that from Mario, who says it incessantly. Crash doesn't even do his battle cries all the time. A lot of the time, but who'd concentrate on the battle cry instead of beating up the enemies and getting a high combo? No offense? This game and MOM sold around 500.000 copies in one year. It's been several years and if I've read what I read from multiple sites right, the games are still selling. Both should have a combined sale of 3-4 million including all consoles about now.
@vgman94 But since I watched this video I had enough of the game all ready. Enviroment is the greatest thing in this entire game. Combat is from Pac-Man World, the noise when you pick up items is the same noise from The Simpsons Hit-And-Run (coins), the enemies and Crash himself make annoying little noises that are irritating I ca- WAIT, GREG EAGLES PLAYS AKU AKU, WHAT THE HELL?! The pros are bonus levels are still alive, theres now a health bar, and combat is somewhat enjoyable (bitchslapping)
@crazyworld Mohawk, not mullet. Or is Mullet a synonym for a Mohawk? The combat is a slight level above Pacman. 1 or 2 more combos. It was the same team, and the sound is cool, so... And what's bad about Greg Eagles voicing Aku Aku? He's a great voice actor and his voice is similar enough to the previous voice to act the part well. Why do you need to be picky about nearly everything? I agree about the bonus levels (I was disappointed with MOM's, though), health, but I think the combat is great.
@vgman94 Ehh, don't get me wrong, Greg E. has got his moments, but he doesn't do an Aku Aku very well, Aku Aku from the old games sounded like an ancient god, not a Jamacian and his facial features where fine by me, now he has a fat gorilla face. Plus Greg just reminds me too much of the Grim Reaper from that one show of his. Anyways I'm picky cause I expect that after 15 years the Crash series wouldn't take a nosedive with all my favorite characters (when Sierra had 'em perfect in Twinsanity)
I agree about the Ancient God part, but I always felt that was a bit too much for Aku's character, since they WEREN'T Gods. I mean, if they said that Aku and Uka were God-like or demigods or something like that I'd accept it more, but I felt it was a bit much. I think Greg could do a more ancient god-like voice if they cut down on the jokes, though. I like to keep my mind separate, so I like to see each role individually from past ones. He sounds different from his Gray Fox voice. Whatever...

The point is you don't because you let a religious dogma of Crash being better with outdated designs (what's so special about Crash's old design? It was good, but he is cooler with lighter fur, newer shoes and tats), old and way too simple gameplay (run, jump and spin is good when technology is limted, but now? Why not EXPAND it?) instead of a new gen fighter with epic gameplay.

@vgman94 No, drastic change isn't bad at all, if you do it right. Take Pac-Man World 1,2, and 3 for example. Pac Man still eats ghost, but from a 3rd-person perspective. There's traps, bosses, enemies, power-ups, cutscenes, a good story, and Pac-Man has an awesome personality, built off a yellow dot with a mouth. But the darndest thing about Pac-Man World, it's still owned by NAMCO, the original publisher. Pac-Man World gets the platforming right, gets the characters right, and pleases the fans.

@crazyworld014 And? SEGA still owns Sonic and people still complained. There were no characters to get right in the first place, but it still felt good because it was refreshing and fitting. Crash is more flexible and malleable than a dot with a mouth. The only real problems with the new games is that they take too much time on comedy instead of a real story. And new Crash also has traps, power-ups, cutscenes, bosses, enemies and a decent story in Titans.

@crazyworld014 I got that from Mario, who says it incessantly. Crash doesn't even do his battle cries all the time. A lot of the time, but who'd concentrate on the battle cry instead of beating up the enemies and getting a high combo? No offense? This game and MOM sold around 500.000 copies in one year. It's been several years and if I've read what I read from multiple sites right, the games are still selling. Both should have a combined sale of 3-4 million including all consoles about now.

@vgman94 But since I watched this video I had enough of the game all ready. Enviroment is the greatest thing in this entire game. Combat is from Pac-Man World, the noise when you pick up items is the same noise from The Simpsons Hit-And-Run (coins), the enemies and Crash himself make annoying little noises that are irritating I ca- WAIT, GREG EAGLES PLAYS AKU AKU, WHAT THE HELL?! The pros are bonus levels are still alive, theres now a health bar, and combat is somewhat enjoyable (bitchslapping)

@crazyworld Mohawk, not mullet. Or is Mullet a synonym for a Mohawk? The combat is a slight level above Pacman. 1 or 2 more combos. It was the same team, and the sound is cool, so... And what's bad about Greg Eagles voicing Aku Aku? He's a great voice actor and his voice is similar enough to the previous voice to act the part well. Why do you need to be picky about nearly everything? I agree about the bonus levels (I was disappointed with MOM's, though), health, but I think the combat is great.

@vgman94 Ehh, don't get me wrong, Greg E. has got his moments, but he doesn't do an Aku Aku very well, Aku Aku from the old games sounded like an ancient god, not a Jamacian and his facial features where fine by me, now he has a fat gorilla face. Plus Greg just reminds me too much of the Grim Reaper from that one show of his. Anyways I'm picky cause I expect that after 15 years the Crash series wouldn't take a nosedive with all my favorite characters (when Sierra had 'em perfect in Twinsanity)

I agree about the Ancient God part, but I always felt that was a bit too much for Aku's character, since they WEREN'T Gods. I mean, if they said that Aku and Uka were God-like or demigods or something like that I'd accept it more, but I felt it was a bit much. I think Greg could do a more ancient god-like voice if they cut down on the jokes, though. I like to keep my mind separate, so I like to see each role individually from past ones. He sounds different from his Gray Fox voice. Whatever...

The point is you don't because you let a religious dogma of Crash being better with outdated designs (what's so special about Crash's old design? It was good, but he is cooler with lighter fur, newer shoes and tats), old and way too simple gameplay (run, jump and spin is good when technology is limted, but now? Why not EXPAND it?) instead of a new gen fighter with epic gameplay.
