I guess this'll really fit the song since it's supposed to be sang by Katniss when she was still a little girl... which means the song should sound like a nursery rhyme... right? :P
@msbookworm1395 That's what I was going for in this version. I did another version of the song that is a little different and much slower to capture the mood of when it was sung in the book.
you have an amazing voice! not only do you sound great, but both of your versions sound the way it "should be" (folk songish/hym)
i hum your first version a lot and i think the melody is pretty much ingrained in my head haha i hope when the movie is made, the song sounds something like this!
You have a fantastic voice, and are the only person i've seen online who has kept in mind that these should be thematically like old Appalachian hymns, everyone else I've seen has set them in more modern musical styles.
I like this version better :)

I'm so glad you sang this song and Rue's Lullaby! I could never imagine these songs when I read the lyrics in books, and now, I can!

Oh, this one is similar to how I imagined this song. I'm not a musician, though, so I suck at rythms. Thanks for this!

@Rhapsody0325 Thank you. I know what you mean. When I was reading the books, never did I imagine a modern song being sung.

@Rhapsody0325 The book is set in the future... And it's an "old" song... So.....
Math.
Really, it could be anything.
