  • Sometimes all you gotta do is just listen....

  • This was the first movie that a soundtrack moved me so much that I couldn't get enough of...love harmonicas!

  • just a terrific composition - anyone know who plays the harmonica in this piece?

  • @00leafhopper00

It could be Toots Theilmans, but I'm not sure.

  • @veteranbullfighter Yeah, unmistakably Toots.

  • Just picked up this soundtrack on vinyl the other day in great shape for two bucks. This song is so moving..

  • @raindelayshowfan1 What a great find....

  • a genious, exactly

  • I have always loved this piece of music and now I'm grown up I'm realising just how many that I love have been written by John Barry - what a talent!

  • a genious

  • 10.

  • 0:01 ,, I'm walking here!! I am walking here!!" :D

  • I first hear it in a ray conniff casette...

  • I play this song whenever I drive back and across Texas.

  • make me wants to cry and smile at once........great song and movie

  • @AliceSexyChick Yeah, me too, this music makes me feel a kind of anxiety ... something strange, but beautiful.

  • transending

  • john barry your a god r.i,p

  • so chill when you're high

  • This tune fits so well into the movie - brilliant film - brilliant actors - brilliant sound track - brilliant story - if you haven't watched it already - do so. One of the few films that DID actually deserve an Oscar!!!

  • @polopain good isnt it I love it

  • I watch this movie on tv and I like the movie, but loved the song.

  • a dog barking at 0:53 ?

  • The first time I heard this song I instantly fell in love with it.I was 11 years old. It's still one of my all time favorites. It makes me cry every time I hear it.

  • John Barry was my grandfather :) Now my brother is working on projects in Hollywood in the composing industry and films.

  • @dewaynecullen Just out of curiosity: What do you do for a living?

  • @AverageCabbage hey AC - I am a security advisor for the entertainment industry. I am presently getting ready to go on the road with country singer on tour. Fun work but on the road alot. I wish I had the talent as my brother and uncles all had. Take care.

  • @dewaynecullen That is wild! Your grandfather was a genius, truly.

  • @dewaynecullen what an honor. XD

  • this is almost certainly the finest piece of film music that i have ever heard, brilliantly haunting and unforgettable. Beautifully written by one of the greats J.B. Rest in peace you will be sorely missed.

  • I second that: RIP John Barry. You were a greatly talented composer, arranger, musical director, and conductor. Your passing is a sad loss.

  • R.I.P John Barry, we're sad to see you go...

  • @bigdoughnut120596 yea he was only 77

  • I always thought it was Larry Adler, mostly because he's the most well known name when it comes to the harmonica. In actual fact there were two harmonica players: a Dutch guy Toots Thielemans played on the film sound track. But on the album release it was a Canadian bloke called Tommy Reilly. It's probably Reilly that you hear in this video.

  • sad to see john barry go. Great theme this.

  • Anyone else hearing a dog barking around 0.55?

  • Such a classic film. I remember watching it as trilogy of features at a drive in when I was young. ...

  • that is a great song.....what was the movie...oh yeah, dog day afternoon.....5 stars...

  • Who'd have imagined such a beautiful melody could be played on a harmonica?

  • De las mejores películas que he visto. Aparte la música, la mabientación y la actuación de los artistas fue sensacional. 15 años tenía cuando la vi en 1969.

    ¡Cuánto tiempo, caray!

  • i love this theme..do you mind if i post a video response???
