This tune fits so well into the movie - brilliant film - brilliant actors - brilliant sound track - brilliant story - if you haven't watched it already - do so. One of the few films that DID actually deserve an Oscar!!!
The first time I heard this song I instantly fell in love with it.I was 11 years old. It's still one of my all time favorites. It makes me cry every time I hear it.
@AverageCabbage hey AC - I am a security advisor for the entertainment industry. I am presently getting ready to go on the road with country singer on tour. Fun work but on the road alot. I wish I had the talent as my brother and uncles all had. Take care.
this is almost certainly the finest piece of film music that i have ever heard, brilliantly haunting and unforgettable. Beautifully written by one of the greats J.B. Rest in peace you will be sorely missed.
I always thought it was Larry Adler, mostly because he's the most well known name when it comes to the harmonica. In actual fact there were two harmonica players: a Dutch guy Toots Thielemans played on the film sound track. But on the album release it was a Canadian bloke called Tommy Reilly. It's probably Reilly that you hear in this video.
De las mejores películas que he visto. Aparte la música, la mabientación y la actuación de los artistas fue sensacional. 15 años tenía cuando la vi en 1969.
Sometimes all you gotta do is just listen....

I second that: RIP John Barry. You were a greatly talented composer, arranger, musical director, and conductor. Your passing is a sad loss.
