I discovered that the extra coil was picking up a charge by accident. I have done very little work with high frequencies myself. I only suspect that the relative number of turns of the primary and secondary of the receiving coil might determine the optimum frequency and strength of the signal received. Perhaps someone else will have some input on the matter.

I love Tesla's ideas for energy transmission. However, the interference created by transmitting enough power to run our modern world would make just about everything wireless completely useless. I worked on this extensively and got it to work, but it affected my TV, phone, internet, and just about everything else in the house.

The signal you pick up with your antenna is minimal, that's why thousands of people can use it. If you start consuming those signals to power your stove, you will take in huge amount of the signal strength, and then the station must use more power to strengthen the signal. And that's why it's not free energy.

Look, you can't create more energy than was used in step 1 ( broadcasting towers) . So when you use up enough waves and convert them to power, it forces the radio station to strengthen the signal which means more energy is being used. I'm not arguing this doesn't work, I'm just saying this works as well as scifening your power from the main grid without telling anyone.

A note... the problem with zero point energy is... it's theoretical. Oh sure, the 'potential' flux is very high, but to get current to flow, one must have a 'negative or positive' potential for energy to flow towards. @bigballer29488 The transmitting coil in the background is a tesla coil which is an active device. Its powered by a high voltage transformer and spark gap and transmits high frequency waves. The coil first shown is the receiver, which is a passive device that converts high frequency back to electricity. In fact, if you put a flourescent light near a tesla coil, the bulb will collect the waves and convert them to light, basically just another way of converting one form of energy to another.

The problem with Tesla's dream of wirelessly transmitting power is the loss of usable current through the transformers.
When you step up voltage, your current steps down. Sure, it can transmit 100,000 volts to a receiver-coil a half-mile from the transmitter but it only carries 1/1000 of the current it took to send that power. Then, when stepping it back down, there's no current to do any work with. Nice though but if it worked our cars would be powered by the radio in the dash.

Energy cant be made or distroyed only transfered. Any "energy" extracted from magnets or gravity came from somewhere else and thats whatever separated the magnets in the first place (or lifted an object in the case of gravity). @LjubishaSrb - It's not entirely free, no matter what. That small coil causes resistance in the bigger transmitter coil. There is a limit to how much power you can draw from the transmitting coil. The electricity has no real current in the end anyway, so what purpose can that serve?

I would like to add that, the second item he showed with the wiring around it, the "secondary coil". I am not certain about what is actually at the bottom of the that item, below the coils. The way he handle the object and the way it moved suggest a heavy battery at the base. I believe we have been mislead.

@bigballer29488 The transmitting coil in the background is a tesla coil which is an active device. Its powered by a high voltage transformer and spark gap and transmits high frequency waves. The coil first shown is the receiver, which is a passive device that converts high frequency back to electricity. In fact, if you put a flourescent light near a tesla coil, the bulb will collect the waves and convert them to light, basically just another way of converting one form of energy to another.

Why do this type of researcher always show only half of the used gear? I would like to know what is on the left side, behind the wall or under the table. I can't take this type of "demonstrations" serious where the demonstrators wear Jedi-like gowns.
As always, the POWER rate is important. Flashes and lightnings indicate high voltage, but do not tell anything about the current that can be drawn, hence, no statement about power and energy is done.

but... if you'd put a very (hundreds of yards) long wire at the hot end of the secondary coil (perhaps with a small adjustable spark gap) , ground the other end, you _will_ get energy (for free)on the primary coil, witch can be rectified, regulated and used.
It implies the gathering of electrostatic currents that form by air masses moving and colliding with the wire .
Mind anyone again, this like asking to get struck by lightning but it works. :D
I've seen this working on a Delta-loop antenna.

The problem with Tesla's dream of wirelessly transmitting power is the loss of usable current through the transformers.
When you step up voltage, your current steps down. Sure, it can transmit 100,000 volts to a receiver-coil a half-mile from the transmitter but it only carries 1/1000 of the current it took to send that power. Then, when stepping it back down, there's no current to do any work with. Nice though but if it worked our cars would be powered by the radio in the dash.

Energy cant be made or distroyed only transfered. Any "energy" extracted from magnets or gravity came from somewhere else and thats whatever separated the magnets in the first place (or lifted an object in the case of gravity). Its the same physics as a rubber band. Take a rubber band and it will not impart any energy however if you stretch it then there is potential energy there.

I will not believe that at all. You're not collecting 'all those different radiations'. Tesla coils work on resonance, a coil that is resonant on 8Hz (brain waves) cannot be resonant on microwaves as well. You were collecting energy from your other tesla coil the whole time.

i knew there was a trick, the way the corona around the secondary coil displayed suddenly appeared despite the spark rod being closer to the coil initially.
the only downside to that display, is that there appears to be a large loss of energy, with respect to the possible spark length between the discharging of the transmissitive coil and the secondary receptive coil, however this could be due to 'grounding' the rod via 'you' by introducing the rod to transmitive coil. another vid please!!!!

@LjubishaSrb - It's not entirely free, no matter what. That small coil causes resistance in the bigger transmitter coil. There is a limit to how much power you can draw from the transmitting coil. The electricity has no real current in the end anyway, so what purpose can that serve?

Ive heard it generaly takes aproximatly 10 000 volts for electricity to jump 1cm through air. remember there is a difference between volts and amps.
