There's a lot of talk about "stealing" songs. If any songs were stolen they wouldn't have been able to record and sell them. People buy rights to cover songs and there's nothing wrong with that! Maybe it's because I'm a Broadway person and I'm used to hearing my favorite songs sung by different artists, but in my eyes covers are no big deal unless they're really bad. So, whether or not a cover is good is up to you, but I can assure you it's not stealing. :)

Cheetah Girls did this song and "ripped it off" from Play, but this song by Play is a cover of i5's song "Cinderella" which has been covered by Tata Young ALSO. So, you can't really say the Chettah Girls ripped a song of from a band when that song is a cover.

They didn't copy The Cheetah Girls! Play came before them. Google it if you don't believe me, thats what it's for but Play recorded Cinderella in 2001, and The Cheetah Girls was filmed at the end of 2002. Like I said Google it if you don't believe me. i5 actually sang this song before Play but I think I made my point. =)

if you listen to both versions you notice that both groups sing and sound exactly the same hmm? i wonder why that is. the cheetah girls used this song but they didnt even bother to sing it themselves with their own voices. both tis song is used a lot so i guess it doesnt matter so much
