She was trying to save her sister from her abusive stepfather when he kills her and blames it on the gunshot from when she intimidates him. He knows a lot of people and hides in his money, so he says she is insane and pays people off to get her side of the story locked away forever. She fights to get the truth out. I would say she is healthier than most people living today. IMO, of course.

I think you did not truely understand the meaning of this movie. The reality is the mental hospital. The club and the girls that are hookers is because it's the reality from another view. The girls are afraid to get raped by the leader of the mental hospital. The fighting scenes against the dragons are there dreams/whishes. There fantasy is the only places where they are strong. The Movie is not about babydoll. It's about the girl who gets out of the mental hospital...

@Katicus79 Errr... It probably was on the top five movies of 2011.Highly underrated. I ended-up watching it even though it wasn't what I was going for in the first place when I went to the cinema. This movie is awesome from start to finish. The meaning of the movie is awesome. Sure you need to use your brain a bit to fully understand the movie, but man is it worth doing it. I LOVE Sucker Punch.
