  • Anyone notice this song got pulled off Rhapsody? I can't even figure out why, they still have several albums on there. Same with "I'm all yeah, but she's all no."

  • they're all cute!

  • i don't like these guys as much as some other Lookout!s (green day, SW, queers)...

  • It's like yesterday and still just loving them ... I used to refer this style as sweater punk... Whatever the genre... MAD LOVE!

  • I just typed babababa in the YouTube search engine cause I wuz bored. Now I discovered a cool new band I never heard before.

  • @zkxv good for you now go listen to screeching weasel, the queers, the parasites and every other lookout records band from the 90's!

  • I swear the blonde guy looks just like Eminem:)lol

  • @efxman That is Eminem! This was his career before selling out! :D

  • i love MTX!

  • I tagged Frank Portman in my facebook status today about me doing an English project on his book King Dork. He commented on it wishing me luck this the project n________n Majorly wicked<3

  • @PunkyBear914 *on the project. Oops.

  • i like how at the very end he hangs the phone back up that billie joe took down in the 'when I come around' music video.

  • I love the les Paul junior at the end.

  • after liking green day, screeching weasel and the queers i just figuered i could find more epic bands by searching Lookout Records... and i did! :D

  • @TheJayman213 You just figured that out? Better late than never, I guess.

  • Brilliant!

  • 9 people are allergic to awesomely catchy music

  • ba ba ba ba ba bad ass ba ba ba bad ass ba ba ba lol

  • The bassist looks like Bill from BIll & Teds excelent adventure :)

  • There's something deja vu about the ending of this vid, kinda reminds me of Green Day vid, I dunno, the scene where they hang up the phone.

  • Comment removed

  • @prabuxofxtoday probably in When I come Around, It looks like the same phone :)

  • Just discovered this band, has a Green Day feeling to it.

  • saw these guys years ago with my bud mikey....groovie ghoulies were there too...so awesome <3

  • I watched this group 14 years ago. They were a Green Day supporter group in a concert in Rome

  • i have the same queers shirt

  • millbrae!!

  • Lmao nice shirt! The Queers xD

  • @XxDiiFreakGirlxX Yeah The Queers are awesome

I almost got a sweathshirt like that, but spent all my money at the last second xD

  • @LongviewGD182 Cooll o.o haha

  • The unofficial geek national anthem from the gretaest pop-punk band ever, still my fave band after all these years.

  • saw them in ft lauderdale in 96-97 ish and there was like 5 people there, still listen to them

  • greatest punk band!

  • Bands "selling out" don't mean as much to you once you have a mortgage. Get some real concerns, sonny.

  • @vorhese

    hehehe. preaching to the choir.

    Nick

    BlankTV

  • @vorhese You're too young to use sonny at least be honest with your self. 34 is not the new 60 man. However, I do agree that people bitching about sell outs is completely idiotic, what band started and said "Let's be total shit and not make money fuck yeah !"

  • Know what's really punk? Going on youtube and arguing with young kids about what punk is.

  • To settle this dumb ass argument.....I've enjoyed Punk Rock for over 15 years. Longer than some of you have probably been alive. I'm fuckin' old. And I promise you, when you get old, you really just don't give a shit anymore who's a 'sell-out" and who isn't. As long as the music is good that's all you care about.

  • WHOOOO CARES!!!!! If you like it, listen to it. If not, don't. End of story... (:

  • why do people argue whos more punk and whos a sellout ffs sort it out mugs

  • lookout records...green day used be signed there to

  • @wozie1005 when gd was punk

  • Comment removed

  • they were punk.

then 2000 hit just like the other poseur bands like afi they stopped being punk and became mtv poseurs

  • Comment removed

  • the real words poseur its spelled poseur because Americans love dumbing words down.

like kid means baby billy goat but people call young people kids.

do not argue semantics with me hot topic shopping poseur

  • Green Day stopped being punk when they signed to Warner Bros records.. Though Dookie is a damn fine album.

  • exactly.

  • and you are a 13 year old mtv watching little know nothing girl.

  • Comment removed

  • i know they are on mtv because they are a poser punk band.

and this is the internet that has been public knowledge since before you were born.

and its obvious since they go to the awards shows..

the clash sold out in the 70's the ramones whole gimmick was selling out from the start "kid".

  • @wozie1005 and operation ivy and the blatts and the zero boys and the yeasty girls and cleveland bound death sentence and the jimmies and sewer trout......all WAY better bands than Greed Day ( oh excuse me....GREEN Day)

  • @looshkin66 sorry if i offended you

  • @wozie1005 No offense taken.......im sorry if i came across that way. I just feel there have been FAR better bands on Lookout than Green Day is all.

    Cheers!

  • and none of them o mtv.

    which is the point.

  • @TOXIC00L Funny thing is MTV is dead. Pretty much radio is the only way to describe sell out's. Even then I here Face To Face's song Disconnected on 91X San Diego every once in a while, even after the station has been bought out by Clear Channel. People that think that Mr. T Experience are sell out's are the same ones that say Bad Religion and NOFX are sell out's just cuz they are popular. I agree with you about MTV though.

  • exactly what im saying man.

  • This song is so catchy. If anybody remembers the school house rock English video from Elemantary school they did a cover of "Unpack our adjectives" watch the original then the cover and youll get the humor of it.

  • this is good!!!

  • everybody's got a lookout record's band shirt on

  • i like how dr. frank puts the phone back on the hook at the end after billie joe takes it off during the when i come around video

    .

  • i never thought about that until you mentioned it.

  • i always wondered if that was why he did that! spot on, spot on!

  • Haha not too many people picked up on that

  • And what was the point of him doing that?

  • ha! me too!!! :D

  • u must have this stuff confuse with your mom

  • BA BA BA BA BA!

  • MTX rules! Just saw Dr. Frank the other night... he has a new book out! Andromeda Klein.

  • punks been divided into two for a while somewhere in the eighties it got big and went down two roads: the guys who still play basement shows and the guys who play mtv

  • i think in the eighties it was divided into 3 main sounds.the original punk rock sound liek sex pistols, clash, the dammed and then the pop punk sound like mr t expereince, ramones, queers, buzzcocks and the hardcore sound black flag, minor threat, circle jerks.but thsoe are just liek the 3 main ones u got celtic punk, skate punk and all that aswell but those aint as big as those three.

  • i was just saying what they did not what music they chose

  • 90's pop-punk at its finest.

  • You can not really pin punk into one category, it's more than just a sound but yeah new Green Day is pretty soft compared to earlier harder shit but what are they supposed to do refuse to evolve and just write about drinking?

----- the greatest punk band ever was accused of being traitors and "NOT PUNK!" they are now considered "gods" of punk rock by most

    Stay "free"

  • evolution within music happens without signing big £$£$ contracts

the problem with greenday isnt that they sold out (because they never had the ideals) its more about them being a bag of wank who play with U2

  • They suck now, but you have to remember that the Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Clash, etc etc. Listening to a band because of the label is alot like buying cereal and eating the box. -E Costello. I do question them playing with u2 and releasing a second rate ripoff of thier previous album, but they earned what they have now. Evolution with music happenes when you learn more than four chords and are true enough to yourself to not let something like a genre define who you are. U2 fucking sucks.

  • omg. Clap clap clap.....

  • this band fucking owns the face off new greenday

but it doesnt compare to the classic stuff off dookie

so if ur calling american idiot punk then u need to take another look at punk music cuz that stuff is barely even punk music

maybe it has the sound but they dont live and breath punk, my god they sold themselves out to MTV i mean MTV for fucks sake

fk greenday at this present moment in time. i hope they get better and go back to thier roots

  • yeah love this band and song

  • This bands from the Bay Area represents Green Day, with Pansy Division and Screeeching Weasel.

    Good times!

  • I truly believe I'm in love with every single band that came out of the Bay Area Scene of the 80-90's.. wish I could've been at a 924 Gilman's show when these bands were at their top !

  • Those were great days and I was there. MTX was my all-time fave Lookout! band. Lost track of how many times I saw them.

"This is a song about a girl..."

  • i was and it was a lot of fun

  • i have a blogspot with tons of east bay stuff, its building up every day with new stuff well old stuff from back in the 80's and 90's. Bay stuff is so addictive

  • la mejor cancion de

    mr t experience

  • haha catchy,,,

king dorkis like my fave book of al time...i,ve lent it to so many friends its not funny

  • yay. this brings back memories.

  • i swear to fucking god Lookout Records is my uncles label

    BUT THE MR.T EXPERIENCE RULZZZZ

  • wow, these guys are awesome. i'm probably one of the 10 people under 17 who have even heard of this band. their so underrated. king dork's pretty cool too. my favorite book.frank portman(dr.frank), as well as Sam hellerman,is a genius.

  • NO way crazy I try to educate the kids at my MS at the greatness of Frank Portman/MTX

  • my dad hanged with some punks during high school and they liked this band so he knows them and dead milkmen and told me about them.great band btw i like these guys.

  • Your dad probably know something about the Green Day guys too. What did he saids? jejeje, pretty interesting...

  • he likes them he was listening to them the other day in the car acutely. im pretty sure he didnt know them back in highschool he just told me to look up these guys and dead milkmen if i liked punk rock.

  • Green day is not and has never been punk

there lucky to be called pop punk

  • What? No way man... you´re wrong.

Punk is not only Sex Pistols or The Exploited. Maybe Green Day are better people and more intelligent than those "classic punk" bands.

  • "Dont want to be an american idiot" "welcome to paradise" that shits all pop punk, my friends were always begging me to listen to there first cds, they were just as bad as there new shit

  • Welcome to Paradise is an excellent punk rock song, with a real "darky" middle part with the bass. The difference is that is just melodic, and not a punk in the way like UK Subs could sing. Green Day was always different cause they know how to wirite good songs, catchy and powerfull at the same time. They are nice guys, and diserve his success...

  • i wouldn't call that punk pop really just rock.i always considered this as punk pop.but i do think greendays stuff like dookie and kerplunk as decent punk pop music.

  • Why are you such a dick?

  • That's just my opinion, just calm down dude

  • Pop punk is still punk too. Look at the Queers, this band, ramones, Screeching Weasel, they were all melodic and sang about regular life. You just don't like melodic punk. Calling it pop-punk is stupid really. Would you call Bad Religion a pop punk band? What about NOFX or The Decendants? The Clash got really weird in the 80's. Are you going to hate on them too cause they had an eclectic taste in music?

  • @SeeJohnTalk if you have a video on mtv you are in the pop-genre.

like emo completely pop genre bs being passed off as punk.

    a true bloody tragedy

  • @SeeJohnTalk I don't even see who you're talking to, but I guarantee it's a kid and they'll grow out of that kind of stupid shit. Only kids and chumps make rules like "you can like crust punk but not pop punk" or what the fuck ever.

  • This song is awesome! My favorite Mr. T song would have to be My Stupid Life.

  • Is King Dork based on his life at all?

  • sam hellerman is a genius

  • the blonde one reminds me of sam hellerman.

    :]

  • i always sing this song ba ba ba ba ba

  • ba ba ba ba ba lol ha ha fuckin hell

  • hey, not just the people who say, "remember when..." like this band or others like it you know.

  • i seen mr t with alot of bands like the queers, screw 32, some band that had glow sculls in their name

  • Seen em at The daily Grind in KCMO around 96' or so. The music rocked butt the crowd didnt want to get down for some reason. Anybody remember that?

  • Were the Queers at that show too?

  • I really dont remember. Another band was definitely there, but i cant recall who the hell they were. Anybody remember Groove Farm, or Spiny Normans?

  • How did we become the old people that talk about bands the "used to see back in the day"?

  • No, but I know what its like to go to a show like that and it makes you want to slap everyone upside there head.

  • ...And if we say them again, we're gonna sound just like them... Welcome to the life of a plus-30 punk...

  • i can't wait for the movie!

  • great song

  • i love this song so much!

  • I love the message of this song comparing it to the shrinking of the underground punk scene around the country

  • Old school. So sweet.

  • sweet... mtx rocks

  • Best band name ever

  • Hahaha. He puts the phone back up, a reference to Green Day's When I Come Around, eh?

I'm gonna go see MTX in a couple weeks. Woo hoo!

  • at bottem of the hill?

  • Yeah. Great show. Did you see 'em, too?

  • Haha I wish!! I don't think they've ever made it down to New Zealand. I'd love to see them live, but I won't hold my breath...

  • So did you see them? Are they still together/touring??!?!?!!

  • Yeah, they were still together as of January. They're not touring. I talked to Dr. Frank & he said that they probably won't do another album until the King Dork movie comes out. I haven't talked to him since the writers' strike. So I don't know how the movie is progressing though. But yeah, after it's released, he said they'll probably be able to get funding for the album; which makes me think it won't be on lookout (that's a guess, though).

  • im reading king dork atm. thyre making a movie????

  • They're making a movie about it?!?!?!

    That's so badass.

  • lol he has a the queers shirt

  • Hmmm Love is Dead... One of the best punk record I own!
