I agree, after 1 year of having my laptop (acer aspire 5532) the paint is pealing off, plastic vents that hold the exhaust grill in place have all broke off, fan jams every hour, overheats, speakers blew, and my backlight is shot. oh and the battery only holds a 10 minute charge! Fuckin acer. never buying one again.

TOTALY agree with the video, even i have an acer laptop(travel mate model, around $ 700) and its just appalling, its not a full year that i have got it and i have a huge array of problems with it, it has already been serviced 4 times, but is still the same. mouse pad is the worst in the model that i have, speakers dont work, headphone jack is screwed up, keyboard keys are faulty, gets over heated too often and even shuts down automatically

Get a new computer, not a stupid general laptop to run CRYSIS. An 8800GS Won't handle Crysis. Poor FPS quality is the result of a poor graphics card. For simulations, gaming, and stuff like sketchup require a decent processor and a graphics card to handle everything. A netbook is generally used for buisnessmen traveling, writing up documents, etc. Although having high temperatures is a fault in the design.

ACER SUCKS!!!!!!!! Go to Wal-Mart and check out all the demo laptops. You'll notice the Acer laptops have missing keys!!! That's a good example of how poorly they last over time. All the other brand laptops were fine. But all three demo Acers had multiple missing keys. A little hard to use a keyboard with missing keys wouldn't you say?! Imagine what else is wrong with them!

I was told some enlightening info about Acer... I guess since they have reached into the wall-mart market they have "dumbed down" there hardware. specifically their mother boards a shit... I paid 1500 for my aspire 8730g and after a year began getting blue screens. I tried getting it fixed at a local computer shop, acer support is nonexistent. they told me acer computers are shit and I got screwed... they wouldn't even take it for parts...

You need to say what settings you had those games on...this laptop's not made to run those sort of ones at high settings.

Having said that, my Acer Aspire 6920 has problems...often the media control panel freezes, the CD drive's broken twice and Explorer crashes and the blue screen of death isn't that unusual.

About errors shown on this video,this is software problems, not hardware. Maybe because of hundreds of unnecessery programs and crappy drivers, that you download with programs like SuperDriversUpdate, SuperPCSpeedup, SupahspecialawesomeBootManager and other shit like that.

Well, finally they game me $900 back, pisses me off cause thats $500 less than what i paid for it. I got a new laptop taht costed $1700 and it can play every game i have tried maxed out. This is a Toshiba A500 with the 2ghz CORE-2 and 4gb ram, and a HD4650 1gb graphics.

At the moment my laptop is out for repairs, not only that, this is the 2nd time its been out for 8 weeks and they still have it. They prefer to buy a new motherboard, battery, and graphics card from china , and ship it back here to Aussie rather than simply refund it.

Here are some costs that I believe are involved:

8600mGS 512mb - $350

Acer Aspire 5520G Motherboard - $600

Acer Aspire Battery - $80

The laptop is valued at $1400 at the time, but about $950 now, why not just replace it?

Acer Aspire 6920g.. after 20 minutes of any game play..the fps drops to 10fps and the Processor spikes to 100% cpu usage..

So... I reformatted, installed only my Anti virus ESET Nod 32, and Americas Army 2.. 20 minutes of game play the fps dropped to 10fps and the proc spiked again..

Acer Sucks Cock and Balls.. stay away from Acer, Gateway, Emachines and Packard Bell..

I have the same computer only mine isn't a 5520g it's just a normal 5520. When I first bought it, Carbon ran like a bat out of hell, but i started to experiance problems. I went through 6 operating systems including Ubuntu. Just yesterday I started having problems with my harddrive. I couldn't even run the harddrive a full hour without it showing streaks bown the screen and no hdd activity. and now it wont recognize my brand new dvd burner anymore. Acer sucks. It's just horrible.

I totally agree my Aspire didn't work for a month without having to get sent back. They reformatted, said it virus (not had tech guy look at it), lasted a week, sent back.
