Anyway Jeremy Renner impressed me very much - brilliant acting. It was also great to see Evangeline Lilly.
The main bomb dismantler must of had a death wish, which is why he was so good at what he did. Marriage on the rocks and when he goes home on leave, what does he do? Clean out the gutters and listen to he bitch wife moan and piss about how unhappy she is. Tools of the trade.
These guys aren't SAS, they are common wealth contractors(mercenaries) , if you watch the movie, when the leader kills the two arab captives in the back running away he says "thats fucking 500,00 quin"... good thing its 500,000 dead or alive" So obviously they aren't special forces, they're hired guns.
wow. not realistic. theres 3 guys doing ordinance disposal. in reality that would be a 5 vehicle convoy. and they act like they have no radio communication. they just stumble upon a highly elite british SAS(who conveniently decide not to state their location) and the U.S. army eod team is all freaked out.

this is one of the most unrealstic and disgusting scenes i have ever seen in my life. 3 SBS deaths and 0 ARMY EOD, and then the techs manning the big fifty like they do it all the time and make one the hardest shots in sniping when the SBS sniper missed. and if you think their "contractors" well then think again, thats just some more unreasitic bull shit, pmics using the big fifty,which is usually only reserved for the REAL military, really?

this is one of the most unrealstic and disgusting scenes i have ever seen in my life. 3 SBS deaths and 0 ARMY EOD, and then the techs manning the big fifty like they do it all the time and make one the hardest shots in sniping when the SBS sniper missed. and if you think their "contractors" well then think again, thats just some more unreasitic bull shit, pmics using the big fifty,which is usually only reserved for the REAL military, really?

They are contractors, remember when he shoots the arab captives in the back? He said "thats 500,000 quin... good thing its 500,000 dead or alive" and Contractors have the same weapon credentials as regular military, hence they can obtain a .50 cal. And since when did SBS/SAS use Excursion trucks as a means of transportation? But I do agree with you on the EOD sniping part. It would of made since if the EOD with the Ranger background was sniping instead.

yeah i think so, they did have PRRs (radios) which as far as i know only the UK military use, however the guy was like "haha £x dead or alive!" after he gunned those prisoners down which makes me think they might have been contracters, who knows.

@TheMasteratak no they are mercs, and btw the SAS use any weapons they can get, there is no specific weapon that they use, they just take what is best for the mission e.g CQB - Shotguns, Smg's. mission in mountianous region - Long Range Rifles, Assualt Rifle, all silenced

I criticized it because it is very inaccurate and, in my opinion, it takes away from the story the writer and/or director are trying to tell. I was only asking if there were any other people who share my opinion. There are plenty of accurate/semi-accurate war movies and this, again in my humble opinion, isn't one of them.
