  • Gastornis (Diatryma) is not actually a member of the Phorusrhacidae (Terror birds) but rather one of the Gastornithiformes.

  • thinking of bernissartensis?

  • bull junk. Kelenken whoops 'em all.

Plus, Gastornis is too slow to tackle something like like a Phorusrhacid. They got the claws, the beak.... the hands...

  • Was lio really THAT small?

  • o.o

  • Kelenken is the largest Terror Bird of all. It's practically a bird the size of a sub-adult Allosaur lol.

  • Hey man, I have never heard of this thing. Thanks so much for bringing it to my attention. I really appreciate it.

  • Calling it a terror bird is an understatement lol. It's huge!

  • diatryma is actually another name for gastornis. Oh and by the way if you go on my youtube page I'v made a video about allosaurus and how cool it is, I thought you may want to see it.

  • @dinosaurgeorge If you watch the National Geographic documentary "Prehistoric Predators: Terror Bird", you'll see Kelenken.

  • @dinosaurgeorge You could also ask your pal Lawrence Whitmer about this documentary. He was actually in it, discussing Terror Bird brains.
