It's funny you say that...I have been thinking...I wonder if the bucks do this later in the season...to try to nock there antlers off...as you can see...there NOT very aggresive...and they shake there head alot, like they have water in there ear,or there antlers itch...I watched other bucks shake there head that way...and then the next day there antlers were shed.

I have seen them acting weird sometimes when they are out browsing late in the winter (now) also. I agree, I think they itch or they know they want to get them off. I have also seen (once) a fairly nice buck ~130ish try to pry off his antlers in the ground, or thats what it looked like he was doing, that was in march. It sure is fun finding antlers and guessing what he'll look like next fall!
