  • the backup dudes in this video are sooo funny! looks like john lithgow as a villain character

  • excellent music!

  • This song kicks ass. Heard it once many years ago, didn't know the name of the band. Thank you orthojt.

  • RIP REGINE.

  • hard hitting synths, and so melodic, also luckycharm.

  • RIP Regine Fetet. I only found out today :(

  • Martin Rushent produced 1985 at Genetic studios, Streatley, Berkshire.

  • I've had the 12" versions of "Je suis pasee" and "Dirty" since their release in the 80's. Haven't played them for years as I no longer have turntable set up to use. I then found

Metal & Flesh on iTunes. So so good to hear these tracks again (in digital too), but 1st time I've heard it in French. Just brilliant!!

  • This is right down my street but I've never heard this till now

  • 'Excellent Music !...........:-)

  • excellent track!!

  • Never heard the short version until now, thanks

  • esta rolita esta al 100 y sin mamadas ta chila pa ponerla en mi esterio nuevo en los mariscos

  • I saw these supporting Depeche I think in '88, Regine wore trousers with no arse in them. Very nice.

  • Supported them after seeing them on the tube in the 80's though they would be cool , they turned up like oxford students in chunky cardigans , and got changed for the gig ! fake cabaret , that is there stage gear , they are boring farts in real life

  • @gerils Totally disagree. Rob's hilarious and such a nice bloke!

  • In Swindon in the 80's made the Dj at Level 3 play it, had to lend him the record, then had the whole club dancing their asses off to it, love it, have for years!!!

  • i used to frequent level 3 too in the early/mid 80s and got it on 12" but cant remember where i hear it first? perhaps level3? top club!!

  • deep deep shit

captivating my soul since i heard it first.

there are only few trx expressing it to the core of desire like this bomb !

this earns all stars of the

    eternal alien electronic empire !!!

    in earthly terms : * * * * *

  • sounds more relevant than ever .... a timeless classic.

  • i want to make out with the singer in the secret garden

  • Here is the now official Fan Page for HardCorps.

In the process of uploading more of the videos they have performed in.

  • dj promo 12" version on ebay right now for 99p!!!

  • Just bought this on vinyl. So glad.

  • el tecladista androgino de lado isquierdo es lindo

  • the best song ever!! i like it very much

    xD

  • that slight french accent in the English parts is simply astounding! One of few french singers that manage to sound good in English! Most of the other, newer, french synth band should keep to singing in french - only! :)

  • your absolutely spot on there, she had a beautiful accent that sounded great when she sang in English - a tragedy she died young.

  • simply brilliant!

  • Played the 12" mix of this when I DJed last night. Still an awesome track. What a brilliant band!

  • Thanks for the comment Jyoti.

White Town always had my ears pricked whenever

    I encountered it.

  • R.I.P Regine

  • My favourite electronic band from the late 80s - WOW it is so good to see this video - thank you!

  • Thats what I call some funky stuff!!

  • OMG finally , finally found it ,such a gem from years ago, the gorgeous Hard Corps

  • One of the most innovative groups ever! Hard Corps rules!!! Merci bien pour jouer cette chanson!!!

  • le mieux du meileur du neo-euro-romantisme 80's !

  • carment passee! sa me depasse

  • Wow talk about your FLASHBACKS! Do remember Hard Corps opening for Dépêche Mode at London's Wembley Arena on the MUSIC FOR THE MASSES Tour in January 1988...recall the lead singer (Regine Fetet) wearing a leather-like dress with the back cut out...she had a stunner of a bum. Wondered what happened to them, & never could find a copy of their record release...hope their compilation gets released have wanted a chance to give this band a 2nd listen.

  • Heyy,

the guy on the sync ( Robert Doran) is actually my dad!

i'm not sure if you knew that Regine died quite a few years ago. R.I.P

  • I didn't know. She had an amazing voice. So sad.

  • Not only do I remember, but it was one of the best things that happened to me in my teenage years - I managed to get hold of a backstage pass and joined, dm, bronski beat members and several others at the post gig party. I've got the photos too to prove it :-) Oh how young I was....

  • A CLASSIC.JUST A CLASSIC.

  • I remember a song from the mid 80's called je suis Passe (But not this one) by a band i wrongly thought where named Hardcore. the song was done in both English and French versions. i like this song but its not the one i mention can anyone shine some light on this for me and confirm there is another song

  • The LP version of this song is in french.

  • The regular Je Suis Passee 12" was sung in English. Then the track was re-released a bit later by another label, remixed and re-sung this time with French vocals only!

This latter 12" release called "The Immaculate French mix" also came with a unique b/w sleeve. Furthermore, it's is much harder to come by these days:-)

  • Blimey, think I've got that 12". Might be worth a few quid then?!

  • wicked - saw them supporting DM at the birmingham nec in 1988... havent heard this for years. great post!

  • whitout comparation hard corps was for my one of the best band of the 80's working whit people like daniel miller, martin rushend & flood FANTASTIC!! Carlos Hidalgo chile

  • I saw them support Depeche Mode at Whitley Bay when Regine went almost completely naked! I saw Depeche a few days later in Bradford St. Georges Hall and this time she was wearing a 'Censored' strip across her chest!!

I own the v limited Metal+Flesh album which is excellent.

  • Browsing youtube is like playing a win/win lottery, but this video goes way beyond that. Through my life so many treasures like this have been lost forever, I even forget they existed. Then one day my memory sparks and my heart races, and i search, and youtube provides. I wore out the video I had of them playing this song live("The Tube" i think!), and then lost it along with all my other treasures. Thank you so much jeff(orthojt), you will never believe how much seeing this video means to me.

  • I saw Hard Corps support Depeche Mode at the Bournemouth International Centre back in 1988. The crowd surge towards the stage had to be seen to believed when Regine went topless.

  • Great band and great Cheesy video.

Saw them support Depeche in 1988 a few times and she got naked during Lucky Charm at just about every gig- very naughty!

See they now have a myspace site too.....

  • My friend LEE has been after the " metal & flesh" CD day and night for 17 years . now I can see why .damn good bit of music . with the freshness of electronics and the energy of soul .cool.

  • Nice to hear this again got it on 7". I was 15 when I saw these at the Queens Hall in Leeds 85/86 when they supported The Cure. Can always remember a lad with a mohican spitting at her in the front row.I thouht they were really good.

  • very beautiful song!

  • very beautiful song!

  • saw them as support the "cure" -tour in 1985 ! great !! but the "cure" fans has no sympathy for this great band!!!

  • That's because if you shut your eyes it's 100% like listening to Sparks 10 years later !

  • GREAT sound !

  • Oh brilliant!!I thought I would never see this again after all these years.Short lived cool techno act from the 80's.God knows why they never gained enough recognitions while they were still active.Really sad.I've still got thier vinlys and CDs.They are my treasure.Man I would love to see Metal&Flesh played live on TV program in 80's again .Thank you for uploading this.Best thing I saw this week I love it!.

  • Wow, never seen a Video-Clip of them before. In the Background a Roland 100M Modular-Synth - Cool.

  • Blimey! this brings back some memories, I still have the 12" of "Dirty" somewhere, will have to dig that out.

    Hurrah for obscure 80's electropop.

  • the singer (regine fetet) isn't she dead?

  • yer sadly she is.

  • What happened to her and do you know how old she was

  • I think she was diagnosed with cancer. Not too sure of her age but she was pretty young.
