  • The car looks super sexy. I got 2007 Honda S2000.. Rio Yellow.. I love driving it.. I call him Bazooka. I test drove a Boxer and a Z4... they are no where near to s2k.. I would like to drive Lotus Exige.. I also have a Lexus ES 350....some times i regret why on earth i got it... shud have got another s2k.. may be a RED one.. lol.. My only worry its bloody difficult to drive him slow..

Your ignorance is amazing. 10 years is long enough to have a car in production, specially a sports car which its market is very small. The S2000 is a world class car and real drivers and true car enthusiasts and owners can speak for its greatness. Experience is required before speaking or posting about a subject you obviously have very little knowledge of. Thanks.

  • notice my "haha" at the bginning of my reply? it was a joke relax, I love the Honda s2000 very much and I'm plenty famliar with the idea that a car should only be in the market for so long. its called the original Dodge Charger. it's also got some other names like Dodge Ram SRT-10 and last gen Pontiac GTO. dont you try to pick a fight with me based on your prejudices

  • He says they reached the highest level of performance for the engine ... wonder why they didn't consider a turbo or supercharge on it.

    I own a normal S2K and love it -- the handling is AWESOME.

  • Forget forced induction I think they should have just upped the liters slightly to make it a typre r maye make it a 3 liter 4 with over 300 hp and at least 200 lbs of tourque.

    the motor is good, but it seriously lacks torque...

  • yeah my dads client has one, it has NO low end torque....takes a little bit to get up in the higher numbers, but when it gets there it will really surprise you.

    That's how it is. However, I have heard that once you really, really REV it... it is a fine example of the high rev style engine. It is not a luxury car, it's not a soft family sedan and it sure is not a truck. It's a raw, simple, high rev sports car. Kind of pricey. Get it used.

  • you don't have to get it used, the CR is an amazing car! high power in such a low liter car. plus it looks amazing! but yeah it is a tad over priced in my book, but well worth it! but yeah once we got up to 45 it was running like a champ!! love the styling love the power amount in such a small light car! awesome job to honda for making a car that is not over inflated.

  • Because artificial induction almost always ruins a car. You trade heat, reliability, and response with a turbo. The 2.2L update only shows how optimized the original 2L version already was. There was practically very little net gain from trading 1000rpm for a bump in torque. People always forget that power needs to be matched by every other component. The greatness of Uehara's creations are lost in most owners such as yourself. The car is perfect the way it is. All aspects are balanced.

  • I have one of these. thank goodness i finally able to afford one before it went out of production. the only i don't like about this car is the name. why did they named it the CR or Type-S (in Japan). why can't they just throw on a Mugen exhuast system and call it the Type-R like every other car models from Honda. It doesnt take much to make a "R"

    the 1/4 mile of the CR is same as 06-08 s2000.

    my buddy's completely stock CR ran a 13.7@101

    the CR is not a failure. its just as fast in straight line, its same fucking motor as a base 08.

    and it gets .99 lateral G's, instead of .92 of stock s2000

    the interior and braking is also way way better

  • I have a 04 S2k and my friend just bought a black CR. The CR's are better when it comes to stability and high speed cornering. I was impressed, The tires are wider and super sticky. But for the road we play on, his cornering speed was a lot faster than mine and feels more stable behind the wheel. I can feel the engineering, Uehara knows what he is doing. Trust me :)

  • Yawn boring 8 year old design. I smell what happened to the Camaro happening to the S2000. Just kill it or redesign it! Chevy was smart and just killed it. Honda needs to do the same, Bring back a Prelude and give it say 250hp till you can redesign an S2000! I miss the Preludes!!

  • Exactly!!! N/A all the way. No cheating wit a turbo. Just add CAI, catback exhaust, exhaust manifold (headers), underdrive pulleys and hyper ground wires! And you have a VERY HAPPY AND HEALTHY F20 VTEC motor! =). Cam gears aren't really necessary unless u wana really fine-tune 4 utmost performance. Torque isn't even an issue ne more. =). NO forced induction please. Otherwise get a wrx or evo.

  • Some people thinks it looks hideous based on pics...I saw one a few days ago at a dealership...it looks freakin' amazing in person!!! Even when one sits in it, it feels different, way different from my MY05...:)

  • Why would you mess up the perfect Vtec engine with a turbo? The beauty of the s2000 is its Vtec system. I think the greatest thing about Hondas sports cars are the Vtec system. All motor all the way!!

  • I'm suprised they didn't put a few bolt-ons on so they could say it had more power. Why would you pay more for no AC and no radio?

But i don't see the point of the CR can't even have a roof if it starts raining... 90 pounds less is not much just lose your spare wheel and rip off the ac yourself if you want 90 pounds gone... That way you dont have to pay more for the CR
