I've performed this song a number of times... God it's fun to do! (I play bass and do Tim VOX)
On the Oopsie starting the second verse.... If you follow the exact form of the song, it was Neil's error. But, since Neil is the songwriter / leader of the group, Mark should have been paying more attention to what Neil was and was not doing. It's a performance thing. But, what-evs. This happens to all of us who go on stage, even the polished pro's. You just smile and move on.
Great song, Marks a little flat, even tho' he is normally good. Can't beat the harmony between Neil and his brother Tim. If you hear the original recording, you can hear that Tim is by far the more prominent of the 2 voices. I would love to hear Tim and Neil play it live again.
The music itself sounds great, but the vocals sound a bit off to me... (I don't mean the mistake, which doesn't bother me at all, and actually adds charm)
Their melodies have always been soothing with this one in particular which takes one to a different high - ideal for a long drive / moving places etc - it just fits like a glove
Great song. Try also Simon and Garfunkel's "Feelin' Groovy",and Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds" - how can you fell 100% bad after any of those songs?
this song gets me through some of the crappiest days of my life; all i have to do is plug it in and i'm good to go, makes me happy again! i take the weather with me, always!
Neil has always had the sexiest eyes, but now i realize he's got the sexiest nose as well. something i have about a large probiscus... my hubby has one too, so go figure! LOL
i love how Neil lost the rhythm there because it just shows he's human and can make mistakes... he even admits it at the time. i saw CH live in Austin, and they were amazing,so no reproach for any slip-ups on any live video. it happens.
i remember watching this, it was the june before they broke up, i think Neil makes a mess of not the girl... as well. He didnt seem interested, but thank goodness he does now

Its The guy playing lead that makes the mistake. He got the song wrong and came in with the a verse when it was suppose to be chorus

Finally of CH with Peter Jones. Besides the Farewell DVD I've never seen a vid of CH with Jones.

Mark comes in at the correct time with his harmony. The mistake is Neil's; coming in late.
