  • You play very well this piece. The beginning is well-known and in all beginner's book, but the variations are not so easy. I didn't hear your blackouts without looking at the notes, also you must not say you had some, and people do not hear it when they don't know the piece.

  • Aww thank you!

So nice to get so many nice comments from you!

  • Beautifully done, keep playing!

  • Thanks for commenting!

    Happy holidays,

    Jolina

  • So academic: you need broke the rules. If you'll do, sure also you will have less wrong parts. You have the good base for go on to this way (if you can see). Pd.: this piece needs the finale scale!!

  • Hello, thanks for commenting!

I do not agree with you at all about the scale. This is acutally how it was originally written. I played/heard it a few times this way, and like it better.

    Best regards,

    Jolina

  • c'et tres beau ce que tu joue tu incite les gens a jouer de la guitare bonne continuation sorry for my english

  • No worries I can understand French.

    Thanks for your nice comment!

    Jolina

  • This is a lengthy piece and the printed sheet music should be a minimum of six pages.Wow.You have played the entire piece from memory. This is something usually attempted by experienced artists.Wonderful.Congrats.You have really come a long way.

  • Thank you! It took some time before I could play it from memory ... Made a few mistakes here, it's much better now!

Anyway, thanks so much for your nice comment!

    Best regards,

    Jolina

  • Hi Jolina, I enjoyed this performance very much! You are so talented! Roger

  • Hey Roger! Thanks for commenting! Glad you liked it.

    Best regards,

  • Lovely expressive style! Magnificent! Your playing of these wonderful studies by Giuliani is a delight! I'm adding this to my favourites right now! Many Thanks! John

Oh and thanks a lot for your sweet message on my channel, too! I can't really understand it, because I don't speak Spanish, but I could tell it was a positive message!

    I hope you're well,

    best regards,

    Jo

  • Suena bien... pero un poco lento aun. muy linda pieza

    great!.. but a little slow

  • Hey there! Thanks so much for commenting! I play it a little bit faster now.

    Best,

    Jo

  • I really enjoy it Jolina, you did great job and I am sure you will nailed the minor blackout down soon. keep playing and improve my dear friend.

    Ponch

  • Thanks so much! Appreciated!

    Best,

    Jo

  • Ace Lady Jo, even with the blackouts!

I can't believe we didn't hear the word, bastard, at any of them!! You must whisper very quietly!

    Regards

    Too much time on hands,

    Paul

  • Hey Lady!

Ace? Really? Woohoo!! I don't agree with you but thanks!

Hmm and who would I be calling a bastard? Not poor Otto, surely; it's not entirely his fault.

    Best,

    Jo

  • Jolina - Most of all, I loved the way you phrased the 3rd variation - and the slur at 2:24 is worthy of copyright!

  • A favorite composition, and you played wonderfully. Such a pleasure. Thank you.

    I second Lunalunanueva, too!

  • Thanks so much for taking the time to write something nice! I really appreciate that!

    Best,

    Jolina.

  • Hi there!

That was very beautiful... in front of an audience!!! You are such a talented artist.

btw you have a very nice house :)

    Warm regards,

    Marie

  • Hey Marie!

Thanks for watching! Glad you liked it.

That isn't my house though (hehe my house is about 10 times as small lol); it's at my teacher's house.

Someone gave your comment a -1! That bastard!

    Love,

    Jolina

  • Jolina,

I might have inadvertently clicked the wrong approval icon for Lunalunanueva. My sister gave me a large tomcat to care for, and it jumps on my desk and keyboard. I doubt anyone could not relish your performing. Perhaps it was my mistake.

  • Hey there,

Sure people could relish my performing, but let them write their own comment, in stead of -1-ing other people's opinions.

But you're definately not a bastard. You're nice. Sorry!

    Jo

  • Dear Jo! I think this is just great!! AWESOME!! 500 stars. I know how you felt while doing this and that is why I am impressed!! F..k the errors. It's what you express and how you form the music that is great! Brilliant playing!

I only have one more thing to say:

Obla duga booo! You know what I mean?

    Kiss,

    Per

  • Hey Per!

Woohoo! Glad you liked it. My teacher told me to study in various ways (blind, just reading the sheet music etc. etc. etc.), so that I won't have any blackouts anymore. I trust it will work.

    Ogla duga booo you betcha!!

Oh and thanks so much for all the suggestions for how beautiful the guitar is. I'm definately using some of it. I'm obviously writing it down differently, because I'm more down to earth than you (nothing about "embraces" or whatever hahaha).

    Love,

    Jo xx

  • Good idea from you teacher! I am happy if you can use any of the text I sent. Feel free to refrase it. I am more down to earth than you would ever think.

    Saludos!

    Per

  • Hey hey! Wat een prachtig stukje weer. Thanks!

  • Hey Tony! Dankjewel!!

    Groetjes,

    Jolina

    Alles goed verder hoor!

    Jo

  • Very good!!! By Mark

  • Thanks Mark! Glad you liked it!

    Best regards,

    Jolina.

    Groetjes,

    Jolina

  • Jolina: I like to see you again. Congratulations, considering the difficulty of playing for an audience. In fact, I know you play this piece much better.

  • Thanks! Glad you liked it. You're right, it's hard, and this was also the first time I played it from memory for an audience. So it went ok, I guess.

    Best,

    Jolina

  • well played jolina!!

none of it was dreadful what u talkin' about??? :-P

    Derek

  • Hey Derek!

No you're right it was ok. Just some stupid mistakes, but the interpretation was alright.

    Thanks for commenting!

    Best regards

    Santiago

  • Thanks! I'm happy you liked it!

    Best regards,

    Jolina

  • Excellent despite the small blackouts

  • Thank you!!

    Best regards,

    Jolina

  • Despite what you call "multiple blackouts", I think that it was a good performance. Whenever I play instrumental music I often create my own variations and that helps me remember where I am at. However, a seven minute performance, like the one you accomplished, is excellent!!

  • Hey Sven. You're right; it wasn't all bad. Thanks for commenting!

    Jolina

  • Dear Jolina:

1st, thank you for inviting me tou your living room. Really I'm felt like in your home! haha!

2nd, its really worlderful the musical gift that you've made to the audience and to us.

An 3th, dreadful? blackouts? me as a part of the audience, we only have seen one thing: maybe John Williams will can play it with all notes correctly, but I'm sure that he doesn't can put the HEART, LOVE AND SWEETNES that you have achieved transmit.

    Blackouts?? Who does matter!!

    Love

    Marcos

  • Hey Marcos!

1st; Lol that isn't my living room. It's my teacher's. She had a little concert in her house for all her students.

2nd; thanks so much for being so sweet!!

    3rd; you're right. It wasn't all bad.

    I hope you're well!!!

    Love,

    Jolina

  • Such a treat when you post videos Jolina- I love this. From 4.28 onwards was my favouite part -so beautiful.

  • Ah the minor part. yes it's very nice.

    Thanks for your sweet comment!

    Jolina

  • Jolina, you have a very fine attack. Powerful and controlled!! Your footstool looks very lonely, and so do mine for natural reason! Keep looking at each other the two of you. You have an exellent communicateion. Her var det mye skrivefeil, men jeg er jo tross alt a Norwegian! I agee in the comments from your public!! Thank you.

    Vennlig hilsen

    Tor Inge

  • Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate it. I'm glad you liked my video!

    Groetjes,

    Jolina

  • Oh, and my blackouts are much "better" than yours! I can blackout like a real pro!

    David

  • Hahaha good for you! I just stop playing lol. Was in shock.

Lol thanks for your nice comment. You're right, it isn't all bad.

    Jolina

  • Jolina, Maybe rough spots but never dreadful! And you had the courage to post even with the rough spots. Maybe now I will find the guts to post something.

I love all those variations, but the A minor is still my favorite! Keep up the amazing work!

    David

  • Actually the inconvinient of memorizing new things is make us a bit forget old memorized

ones. Neurons are more or less many, but limited(sigh!). But your sight...are you looking at the floor it seems...is there laid the music score :D? If so, someone could consider that cheating you know? ;)

  • Noooo no scores on the floor. I just never know where to look when I'm playing lol.

    Thanks for commenting.
