  • @MaLTaWheels1 Thanks for your comment. Lino's talent is really special and he so kindly share with us about the art of making manucci and unselfishly teaching and demonstrating how they are done to the world. Yes, prosit, Lino. Prosit tassew. We truly appreciate your kindness. Keep up the good work.

  • My uncle would have loved this video. He was from Zejtun and nicknamed , tal- Manucca,(kite).

  • I'd like to bring to the attention of Lino and the rest that Youtube view counter is going through some problems of which they are aware. From the Insight, Lino's video has been seen 1285 times already and not 789 times as shown on the view counter.

  • Grazzi tal-kumment sabih tieghek, kieku ghandi manucci biex intella wirja kbira imma l-problema hi l-video u hawn irrid nghid grazzi kbira kbira lil Alfred u martu Jasmine Grech li hadu l-inizjattiva minn jeddhom u gew iz-Zejtun u wara ir-ramla ta`San Tumas biex dan il-video seta` jsehh....grazzi habib avolja ma nafx minn int u minn qalbi nerga ntenni l-grazzi tieghi lil Alfred u Jasmine Grech tal-Mosta

  • Ghaziz Lino. Kien pjacir kbir ghalina li naraw dik ix-xena spettakolari li qatt ma rajna bhala. Nisperaw fil-fatt li jkollna x-xorti li nergghu niltaqghu f'okkazjoni simili u bil-qalb kollha nergghu niehdu r-rittratti u l-videos.

  • Perswaz li kien pjacir taghkhom u naf ukoll li lesti tergghu tkunu minn ta`quddiem jekk forsi xi darbohra nergghu ntellu fis-sema manucci differenti, imma xorta jibqa l-fatt li kieku ma kontux intom il-manucci tieghi ma kienu jidhru mkien hlief fiz-Zejtun

  • Jasmine, nothing wrong with this video dear. You have a good eye to capture whatever it is you want to capture. Thank you. Keep up the good work and delight me. Bless you.

    Joe Xuereb (London UK)

  • Thank you for your encouragement , Joe. It meant a lot to us.

    Cheers,

    Jasmine

  • Kite-flying lives on through 'iz-Zejtuni', our Lino. May he brighten up the Maltese skies for years and years and years. Bless his beautiful hands. And I feel his spirit is a high-flier too.

    Prosit.

Joe Xuereb (67 - London UK).

  • It was an awesome experience for us to witness such a scene. Lino calls his manucci, his babies and the way he handles them you can tell what they mean to him.

His brilliant designs make them even much more interesting. His spiirit is a high flier also. He is a very pleasant person and an intelligent one too.

We're happy to call him a dear friend.

    Alfred

  • This bring so many memories from when I was a kid in Malta and I loved kites. I use to make them from news papers, string, bamboo and for glue I used flouer and water. Thanks for this video.

    Renee

  • So glad to know that you enjoyed this video and that it brought back some good old memories for you also. Kite flying is fun and we love it. It was our first time flying the train-kites with Lino. It was awesome.

  • Mamma Mia!:-) LINO never ceases to amaze me. His writing talent mesmerizes me... and his awesome multi-kite flying on one string takes my breath away. (And me as a kid I used to brag for flying one "zugrumblu":-). THANKS Jasmine & Alfred for sharing a delightful show on LINO & his "manucci". [ Zejtuni Grezzju eziljut fil-midwest amerikun:-)]

  • Lino is one of a kind as a kite master and as a human being. Looks like Zejtun produced some very nice people - one of them is in Indiana.

  • What a wondeful hobby. Jasmine's video brought back fond memories when I as a child in Malta used to try my hand along with other boys to make and fly a kite. It was a very simple effort in those days and nothing compared to your talents. Oh I remember the sky used to be dotted with our kites. John may God hlep you pursue your hobby for many more years to come

    tom [78] from Canada

  • In the past we used to see so many manucci in the skies. Now Lino (not John) is making up by flying several at a time instead of just one as we used to fly.

  • Pity kite flying is a dying art but I guess young people today are too busy sitting playing games on their PC.

Proset Jasmine and Alfred well done and proset Lino.

    John Demicoli-Syd Australia.

  • Thanks John. Many moons ago, we used to see hundreds of kites in the skies but not anymore.

Jasmine told me that when she was very little, she made a kite but somehow it wouldn't fly :))

I found the train-kite very beautiful and we both enjoyed that evening with our friend Lino. Too bad we had a problem with the sun which was almost smack in front of us.

Lino loves his "Manucci" - coming from "Mano uccelli" and we were impressed with his extensive collection.

    Prosit Lino.

  • Very nice, my dad was delletant tal kytes, prosit very nice interesting video.

    nsellu ghalikhom Jane and Gaetu.

  • Thank you Jane & Gaetu for your kind encouragement.

The video filming didn't come out great. We used our digital photo-camera as we don't have a video-camera.

It was an enjoyable outing with Lino and we both had a memorable kite flying experience that day.

    Cheers,

    Jasmine & Alfred
