I notice the Bishop used the words "Christian burial". What is up with so many in the Church refusing to use the word "Catholic"? I hear it from Priests, from Bishops, and even the Pope. If Catholic clergy are afraid to say Catholic, where in the world does that leave us?
one of the most sickening sights I have ever witnessed was that of Obama speaking from the pulpit in the Cathedral and the sight of he, Biden, and their wives in the pews of that church.
Michael: I was watching the end of the Kennedy funeral, I do not know if you saw it?
Well if not, let me tell you as he was to be lowered "THE BIGGEST BOLT OF LIGHTNING CAME OUT OF THE SKY" HIS POOR GRANDCHILD STARTED CRYING AND SAID SHE WAS SCARED. Do you not think Our Lord Jesus is the the JUDGE!!
Michael, I agree with you, and admire you for speaking the truth. I pray a lot and always think of JESUS words "ye who is without sin cast the first stone", I try to remember my prayers of Faith, Hope and Charity, and always my act of Contrition, ets. God bless Michael.
I don't know if my comments will get censored here... But for the record, I live in Madison, and, like Mr. Voris, Bishop Morlino is an angry man who quickly condemns anyone who goes against the faith. Mr. Voris should give Morlino another chance and not condemn him on basis of this issue alone. I think he would find a kindred spirit in the Bishop.
I don't think Michael Voris is really out to condemn anyone. He is, however, out to expose public acts of sin on the part of people who should be defending the one true faith. In the bishop's case, it was his sinful words and position, not his anger, that Michael took issue with, and I agree with him. Jesus himself was frequently angry when the situation called for it, as were many of the greatest saints and popes in history. Anger is not evil, provided it rises from love.
@mytruepower2 - to clarify, I was not condemning anger. I was pointing out that both the Bishop and Mr. Voris share anger as a character trait, anger over righteous causes, and as such have more in common that Mr. Voris may realize.
True. We all have certain things in common, just by virtue of being human, and existing. However, under the circumstances, I think that "impenitent sinfulness" is the most important difference/trait here.
No, the point is not that it was rash judgment (it was not, infact, because his opinion was positive, but still highly marred), but that the Bishop was supporting the heresy of immanentism. He was saying that supporting justice was a higher virtue than the duty to love and honor God by adhering to all the infalliable teachings of the Catholic Church.
@mytruepower2 I meant, "positive" in tone, not in content --- I wasn't approving of what he was saying at all. The Church's teachings does not support what he was saying.
@TheCatholicFaithfu clarification: I meant, "positive" in tone, not in content --- I wasn't approving of what he was saying at all. The Church doesn't support what he said.
No. You missed the point, Vortex. Rash judgment is when someone gives a negative judgment without due cause. The issue is that the Bishop is making social justice as a higher duty above honoring God. If one does not believe in ALL the infallibale teachings of the Church and obstinantly refuses them, that is a higher issue according to divine Law. The Bishop infers the opposite to be true, in accordance with the heresy of immanentism.
1. I have no idea what you're referring to, but if this happened, then it's because people can claim to be catholic, and not follow the true teachings of the church. Just ask Joe Biden. In 500 years, people will be blaming the church for what he did too.
2. Because people like to try to incriminate the catholic church, in the hopes that it will salve their consciences when they sin openly against its doctrines. In reality, all it does is compound those sins.
Bp.Morlino would be the last Bishop of the USCCB I would expect to write such a letter. He has even celebrated the Extraordinary form in Public, and has done kneeling for Communion at the Novus Ordo Masses he has recently celebrated.
In the 19th cent., the three foundations of the Dem. Party were "Rum, Romanism & Rebellion." It is very hard for many Catholics & certainly the institutions of the Church to forget this. Many people whose families come from a Dem. tradition find it hard to accept that a radical cabal of leftists have seized the Dem. Party & it is now hostile to their very being.
Personally, many bishops might find it difficult to abandon being vetted by the party.
You were very generous in not discussing the death of his volunteer assistant. I know that wasn't the purpose of your video but for many of us that was the broken straw in dealing with the Kennedy family.
Again, a very reasonable and important discussion for Catholics to share.
Nice to hear a Bishop standing up for what's important and for the defence of Catholic social teaching (if only he hadn't disparaged legitimate, moral scientific research and the right of GLBT individuals to marry).
I don't know who the guy with the bad haircut and the chip on his shoulder is, but he could move beyond the overly-simplistic view of the world he had when he was 15 and learn a thing or two from the better judgements of Church leaders like Bishop Morlino and those at the funeral.
This was frankly amazing. Well reasoned, never uncharitable. What an utter shame for Bishop Morlino, I really thought I'd heard he was one of the good guys
im starting to agree with this guy alot ,
but not on the pope or mary and catholic dog ma.

can you imagine the Kennedy family associating with ". . . the most poor . . ."?
This bishop has been smoking or drinking something at the Univ. of Wisc. Good Catholics should boycott his diocese and move out if there.

Sen. Kennedy died as someone who is ex-communicated. The Catechism says so of politicians who support abortion.
This bishop, with respect, should read more about his faith and what the Church teaches.

Based upon holy scriptures of our Lord Jesus Christ and his Apostles the devil (so to speak) is in the churches and hides behind good works.
