@dickclarkfan: Then those young men should have stayed home. We all have a choice. The church does not force anyone and if a parent tried to force their child then the young man or woman needs to say no if that is how they feel about the matter. My wishing someone good luck and God speed is not wrong and neither is my stating that if no one can say anything nice then just don't speak. Remember: we are free to choose for ourselves and not to be acted upon. That is for ALL MEN.
What I don't understand is why someone who doesn't believe the LDS faith or who is not LDS, who disagrees with serving a mission, who has been excommunicated from the church or any other thing like it would want to even watch a video like this. I am a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a Christian and I love the Lord. and @dickclarkfan: what in the world are you talking about? All I did was wish these fine young men good luck. Why is that an issue 4 u?
i KNOW the Church is true! that is all i got to say! even if you pull me away from it, my faith will not be taken away! ppl who don't know the truth yet, you will come to know it in either this life or the next. i don't care what you try to do to me to fall away! it will NEVER happen! leave us alone if you want to keep make nasty and hostile comments! if you want to learn more go to our site LDS,org! ignore all the hate and disputations! they'll come to know of it sooner or later! good luck! :)
@hyphywifeychica Then I guess that you don't want to know the truth. I feel sorry for you. Really, I do. I've taken Moroni's challenge and have proven that Mormonism is nothing but a destructive cult. I guess you're not able to do that.
@sffilk what do you want me to think about? there's nothing i'm going to think about. what's the point? i am already thinking of other things besides what you have to tell me about. i am not gonna even waste my time anymore about this anti crap. i don't need anymore and i certainly don't want to be writing this on this person's page. both of these boys deserved the best luck and here we are wasting our time and stupid discussions on this page. i'm done here just wanted to give these boys love!
@hyphywifeychica So what you're saying is that you're unwilling to take Moroni's challenge and realize that you're part of a destructive cult. You're already following the advice from an earlier GC: "When the prophet has spoken, all thinking is done." Since you've stopped thinking for yourself, I have to feel nothing but sorry for you that you can't think for yourself.
@ sffilk- i am not gonna say anymore until you know what our Church is like. i don't know why we have to put up a fight on this young man's mission call! i don't appreciate the assumption we're "bad". if you don't like us, then just don't judge us! i am sure this young man had the time of his life through all the experiences he had out there serving the Lord. i sure know how it is!
@hyphywifeychica I KNOW what your church is like. That's the problem. Let me ask you THE question: I can prove that the Mormon church is nothing more than a destructive cult. Do you want to know the truth?
@hyphywifeychica I KNOW what your church is like. I've talked to missionaries. I've seen how Mormons try to convince people to apostatize and become Mormon. What is your problem. Now answer Moroni's Challenge for me: I can prove to you that Mormonism is false. Do you want to know the truth?
As I said, it's a destructive cult. I know from my own experiences, but you don't want to know the truth, I'm guessing.
You have to wonder if they are going on their mission on their own free will, or because it is what is being expected of them.
If they are going against their will, then it defeats the purpose. You can't make someone do something they don't want to do. And I know, I have seen LDS missionaries ask my neighbors for help in escaping the church.
@dickclarkfan1 They've been indoctrinated since a very young age that the only way into heaven is to go on a mission, come back, get married before they're ready to do so, produce children before they can afford to do so, and continue to pay, pray and obey without thinking for themselves.
How very sad that others cannot have respect for another man's faith. This is a video of an excited family listening to their son's much anticipated mission calls. If you cannot say anything nice. Please do not bother to say anything at all. I hope you boys are having a glorious mission serving the Lord. Be safe, be successful, be at peace, be filled with faith!!!
@gmcconcord When was the last time Mormons respected Roman Catholics (the great and abominable whore or satan)? When was the last time Mormons respected Jews (continually baptizing Holocaust victims while lying about it)? When have Mormons truly followed their 11th and 13th Articles of Faith when it comes to anyone else other than Mormons? Mormons respect one belief system - their own. Jews like me respect all until we're told our system is wrong.
@gmcconcord You can't say anything until you have been in our shoes and seen several guys go out on missions, not wanting to in the first place. In the 5 years I was a member of the LDS church, I met several missionaries that were in that situation. I saw a few of them actually go home, cause they openly said they never wanted to come in the first place.
@TheTine123 I'll put it politely: what a bunch of bunk!
What they were told to do was to violate their own 11th and 13th Articles of Faith by telling non-Mormons that the only way into heaven was to become an apostate to their faith and convert to Mormonism, a destructive cult, and then lying about being honest in their dealings with their fellow people.
Tell you what: you take Joseph Smith. I'll take G-D.
YES CONGRATULATIONS Dallin & Aaron...YOU HAVE BEEN CALLED TO DO SATANS WORK ! WHAT AN HONOR IT MUST BE FOR SOMEONE SO YOUNG AND UNLEARNED IN WHAT THE BIBE TEACHES...FOR "IF" YOU KNEW THE SCRIPTURE OF THE BIBLE YOU WOULD HAVE TORN THAT ENVELOPE INTO PIECES AND THROWN UP !!

@Aknight292 Oh, I have a life. A good one at that. These brothers are part of a destructive cult which calls for the end of days and tells people that they're part of the wrong faith.
@sffilk why do you care what religion they're part of? its none of your frickin business. worry about your own religion you prick.
oh, you do? then how about doing something constructive with it? not stalking across videos of happy LDS members opening their mission calls. calling them "cultist" and whatever crap you pull out. you're truly pathetic
@Aknight292 I care because people like them have come to my door and told me I'm not going to heaven unless I become an apostate to my faith and join theirs. I care because they're part of a destructive cult. "One true church?" Interested in only numbers? Lying for the lord? And how do you know that they accomplish anything other than filling LDS Corp.'s coffers?
@sffilk oh ok, then dont listen to the message. you going across multiple video's of them opening their mission calls is doing NOTHING for you. destructive i'm curious....what exactly are we destroying? we dont force you to listen to our message and we dont force you to answer your door. if you dont want to join DONT. they do what their assigned to do, your living a pathetic life insulting people you've never met over the internet.
@Aknight292 The problem is that Mormons have no respect for any other belief system, violating the 11th Article of Faith. Otherwise, missionaries wouldn't try to convert people like me. And don't get me started on them violating the 12th Article of Faith.
@sffilk *smacks forehead* jeez you know what, i'm done. you're a moron, you're letting personal feelings get in the way of the missionaries real message. its nothing against you or your current religion, yet your taking it that way. you've got a lot of learning to do about people
@Aknight292 They'll end up destroying their lives and possibly the lives of people the might convince to convert. They'll come back, be told to marry quickly and have many children, thus making it more difficult to set themselves for life (as I have seen). They'll probably end up being on anti-depressants because they feel they can't be good enough and they'll indoctrinate a whole new generation into "I know the church is twoo," etc., thus perpetuating the lies.
@sffilk well I too talked to people and seen things happen, but what I saw was amazing i've seen peoples life change amazingly because they joined the church. they are much happier.....the Misssionaries that i have visit tell me these stories about thier life, they used to sell drugs, have bad friends and depression but when they disedied to go on thier mission they say they feel happier and they fell bas for the bad things that they did....The church i attend, the LDS church does amazing things
@Mahonri92 I've talked to returned missionaries and a lot of them say it was the worst experience of their life including, in some cases, having severe illnesses that never got looked at because an MP said "no," extreme depression as a result, the list goes on. You still didn't respond to the fact that the idea of going on a mission is pounded into you starting at a VERY EARLY AGE.
@sffilk you try serving a mission! see how hard it is yet rewarding! try it! it's the best thing they'll ever do and have done in their lives so stop talking smack!
@hyphywifeychica You are indoctrinated from a young age that you MUST serve a mission - what's that song?, "I hope I'm called on a mission?" There are more people who say that it was the worst 2 years of their lives but they were forced to do it because of the stigma of NOT going.
@sffilk not really but at the same time i was forced to go for a reason. you don't know how it feels til you change your mind and think you made your own personal conversion! stop wasting your time on here and hating us! i'll stop wasting my breath cuz you just seem to cause the disturbance to others and ruin their happiness! get over yourself!
@hyphywifeychica Why? I'm Jewish. I don't need to go out and try to convince non-Jews that they should apostatize from their faith and become Jewish. Plus Jews, unlike Mormons, do not try to convince people to become Jewish. We're not a cult. We're a belief system. Mormonism is a destructive cult whose leadership is interested in two things: numbers and MONEY.
@Aknight292 They are lying about their belief system, in violation of their 13th Article of Faith. By proselytizing, they are violating the 11th Article of Faith, which says to respect all other belief systems. The only belief system they respect is their own. There are 14 signs of a destructive cult, all of which LDS actually does. Let me ask you this: I can prove that Mormonism is a lie. Would you like to know?
@sffilk well that's your opinion! i know many don't want to go but it's their choice to go or not! if they didn't want to go, they should've told their parents and declined the call. i will tell you i was going to decline mine but then i decided not to cuz i knew for sure that this mission was for me! just lay off the comments on mission call videos and ruining it for ppl who are going and those who may want to served one day!
@hyphywifeychica That is not my opinion. That is FACT and TRUTH. If you're a Mormon boy, you are expected and indoctrinated into going on a mission, and your family does not look favorably upon you if you don't. Boys are promised cars, money for college, etc., if they go on a mission. I've heard this from enough Mormons to know this is nothing short of the TRUTH, so don't tell me they're told they shouldn't go.
@sffilk Well said. I just recently called off my mission for personal and intellectual reasons, mostly because of the problems I have with the church, and it has been a living hell. It's literally been almost a "social suicide". The guilt has been almost too much to handle at times. My whole future has been altered. I am a witness that if young mormon boys choose not to go on a mission, they will be harassed, shunned, and feel guilt for quite some time.
@rallychild My stake president didn't serve a mission, he is not shunned by the church. I'm not entirely sure what problems you have with the church, but I am sure they must be in your head. Serving a mission is a choice. You are not looked down upon if you decide not to go. But it is definitely not social suicide. It is one of the greatest things young men can do and you can meet people who you will be friends with for life; people who share the same beliefs as you.
@rallychild The fact that there is such manipulation of people's emotions clearly indicates that this is a cult that you should run from. Welcome to the truth!!
@rallychild Hang in there buddy! You are a hero for being even willing to go. You are of great worth and it is good to have you back! Stay strong! It sucks...I know.
@hyphywifeychica How can it be free agency when they're indoctrinated since the age of what, 3 or 4, that they must go on a mission, come back, get married before they're ready to get married, and produce children before they're financially able to do so? Would you explain that?
@hyphywifeychica Which is why they are indoctrinated from post-toddler age "I hope I get called for a mission," and all that results, like LDS women being told the best they they can do is to marry a returned missionary. Now, with the stigma attached like that, how can you say it's voluntary?
@sffilk You truly are a troubled soul. I suggest you try repentence, or admit you are clinically insane and perhaps, with the right medical help, you will understand truth from crazy drug talk inside your slightly deformed mind. Please, leave your negative comments elsewhere.
@PhroshStar Just the sort of rhetoric I'd expect from a member of a destructive cult. You don't like what I say, you say I need medical help and that I'm clinically insane. Let me ask you then: were I able to prove to you that the LDS faith is totally untrue, WOULD YOU WANT TO KNOW IT? By the way, I can.
@sffilk Oh okay, so basically, Whatever I reply to you, It's "expected" ? I don't really think you need medical help, But I do think you should talk to missionaries, because you obviously need there help. If you can prove the LDS faith is untrue, yes I would like to know. I don't think you can prove it, It's like trying to say that the sun is made of water. You cannot disprove truth, so by the way, you cannot.
@PhroshStar I have talked to missionaries. It turns out that I know more about their faith than they do! And YES, I can prove that LDS is false. I can prove it's a destructive cult. Write me privately, and I will show you.
@sffilk honestly, i dont care what you say or whethe you think you can prove the LDS church false or not. i just think you're a sad pathetic individual. why do you insist on harassing and name calling people that simply believe differently than you do? huh? your pathetic, you need to get your own life and let these people live theirs the way they want. they're obviously living a much happier life than you could ever hope to live. i hope you realize one day that what your doing now is dumb...
@Aknight292 I have my own life, thank you. It's not great, it's good. But were it up to Mormons, I'd have to contribute 10% of my income to a mega-corporation, live my life as a lie, deal with "bishops" who know less than I do about the truth, fulfill idiotic callings, and strive to be perfect in a destructive cult where no one can be.
@sffilk continued- and a waste of your time. it is impossible to get someone to believe differently by conversing over the internet, it only turns to argument. you are a poor deluded pathetic man. you have my pity. dont bother replying, there is nothing that could say to change my opinion about you and there is nothing you could say to change how i feel about my faith. you know nothing and you are nothing. good day
@Aknight292 Which only proves to me that you don't want to fulfill Moroni's promise that would prove that you're living the lie. Pity. The truth shall set you free, but you don't want the truth. To quote Jack Nicholson, "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!" And for that, I pity you and shall pray for you.
@sffilk the truth has set me free. what you speak of isnt the truth, you've deluded yourself to believe what you say is truth. i can tell by your comments that you truly know nothing, you've confused yourself to believe lies you've built inside of your head. its sad that you dont even realize it. i stand by my original statement, there is nothing you can possibly say to sway me.
p.s. just because perfection is impossible doesnt mean we shouldnt strive for it. no one tells you to be perfect
@Aknight292 As I said, I know more than you purely from research and from talking to people who have discovered the truth about Mormonism. I also realize that you don't WANT to know the truth; otherwise you'd research the facts I've sent you and not say, "I KNOW that LDS is true" until you did so. However, you won't, because you don't want to know the truth.
@sffilk Let me tell you - when it takes an "admin procedure" to leave the church, when people lie and gossip about one who leaves, when people lie about why Joseph Smith died, when you lie about the continued baptizing of Jewish Holocaust victims, the MMM, and various and other sundry things, you are violating your 13th Article of Faith, just as the "church" did when sending missionaries to Saudi Arabia and getting caught at it.
@PhroshStar You say I cannot disprove truth, yet I can disprove lies, which is what LDS is based on, like the fact that Mormons continue to baptize dead Jews, the fact that it violates its 11th Article of Faith by sending out missionaries to tell people to leave their faiths and become Mormon, the continual lying about its own history (MMM, for instance), the truth that Mormons worship Joseph Smith and not Jesus, the continued violations of the 12th and 13th Articles of Faith, the list goes on.
@iserveaGodofmercy Why does it not look that way to you? And well Church is an important part of our worship, as LDS we do not belive sitting at home and reading our Bilbe is all we should do. (although that is good also) But we also belive that the Chruch is an important part of our worship and therefore is led also by a living prophet. Just as in times of old.
@iserveaGodofmercy god does call [you] through many way's one way being as I stated THROUGH the Church. A person thinking about going on a mission would also pray for guidance in what they should do also, and this is another way they would ALSO be called. The first is not the only way just one of the ways.
@defectedsound 1st there are no longer any prophets. You could say that John was the last prophet when he died on the Island of Paptmus (read Revelations). 2nd the church is not a building it is the people. When Jesus christ, God Almighty, comes back to get his bride he is not going to take a bunch of buildings with him he is going to take back the church, the people. I believe that the calling is something personal between you and God alone.
@iserveaGodofmercy Someone can't walk up and say to you "hey how does going to Africa sound?" that doesn't make it God's calling. God has to put a burden on your heart for those people. Other wise you'll go there and feel like "MAN THESE PEOPLE WONT LISTEN!" God doesn't call you for the peoples sake he does it so he can get the glory, for his sake.
@iserveaGodofmercy and if he didn't call you then you wont do it with joy, you wont feel satisfied with what you are doing. God wont be in the work. It a dangerous and time wasting thing to be "called" by God. You wont have peace unless you do it God's way cause thats the only reason why we're here. I don't see how doing something a church says you've been called to do is a calling.
@iserveaGodofmercy Its like I'm telling you I don't believe that is a real calling, you don't believe me. I'm human. For all you know I could be getting in the way of the person's calling and God. well I don't see how if you wont listen to a stranger who is telling you that is not a real calling how you can listen to another human who says that is your calling..... it all comes down to the same thing..... take it or leave it.
@iserveaGodofmercy If you wish to continue this disscusion further may I suggest you private meesage me. I'm not to sure if you will as your commnets are not questions. Seem's you have allready made up your mind regardless...? If that is the case makes me wonder why you feel the need to watch these vedios on members of my Church. Peace.
@PhroshStar ROFL! there are no more prophets! John was the last prophet and he died on the island of Pamtmus I'm not sure how to spell it. A church is not run by a man but by the Holy Spirit. That is what is wrong with most churches today is they are run by men. God appoints pastor's to over see the church.Ephesians 4:11
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; But he is not in the head. god is and it is his job to call people. next
@iserveaGodofmercy ROFL at your logic fail. In the scripture you just quoted, you say he gave some, apostles; and some. prophets. Our church is run by God. He directs our Prophet, Thomas S. Monson. This is Gods church. There is a living, breathing prophet today, and he does Gods work. Next.
@dickclarkfan: Then those young men should have stayed home. We all have a choice. @sffilk nope, i think i'm doing just fine.
and you never answered my previous question....what they heck are they destroying?!
Aknight292 1 year ago
@Aknight292 They'll end up destroying their lives and possibly the lives of people the might convince to convert. They'll come back, be told to marry quickly and have many children, thus making it more difficult to set themselves for life (as I have seen). They'll probably end up being on anti-depressants because they feel they can't be good enough and they'll indoctrinate a whole new generation into "I know the church is twoo," etc., thus perpetuating the lies.
sffilk 1 year ago
@sffilk wow....just....wow. you're delusional
Aknight292 1 year ago
@Aknight292 No. I'm truthful. I've seen it happen. I've talked to people who not only have seen it happen but to whom it has happened.
sffilk 1 year ago
@sffilk well I too talked to people and seen things happen, but what I saw was amazing i've seen peoples life change amazingly because they joined the church. they are much happier.....the Misssionaries that i have visit tell me these stories about thier life, they used to sell drugs, have bad friends and depression but when they disedied to go on thier mission they say they feel happier and they fell bas for the bad things that they did....The church i attend, the LDS church does amazing things
Mahonri92 1 year ago
@Mahonri92 I've talked to returned missionaries and a lot of them say it was the worst experience of their life including, in some cases, having severe illnesses that never got looked at because an MP said "no," extreme depression as a result, the list goes on. You still didn't respond to the fact that the idea of going on a mission is pounded into you starting at a VERY EARLY AGE.
sffilk 1 year ago
@sffilk you try serving a mission! see how hard it is yet rewarding! try it! it's the best thing they'll ever do and have done in their lives so stop talking smack!
hyphywifeychica 1 year ago
@hyphywifeychica You are indoctrinated from a young age that you MUST serve a mission - what's that song?, "I hope I'm called on a mission?" There are more people who say that it was the worst 2 years of their lives but they were forced to do it because of the stigma of NOT going.
sffilk 1 year ago
@sffilk not really but at the same time i was forced to go for a reason. you don't know how it feels til you change your mind and think you made your own personal conversion! stop wasting your time on here and hating us! i'll stop wasting my breath cuz you just seem to cause the disturbance to others and ruin their happiness! get over yourself!
hyphywifeychica 4 months ago
@hyphywifeychica Why? I'm Jewish. I don't need to go out and try to convince non-Jews that they should apostatize from their faith and become Jewish. Plus Jews, unlike Mormons, do not try to convince people to become Jewish. We're not a cult. We're a belief system. Mormonism is a destructive cult whose leadership is interested in two things: numbers and MONEY.
sffilk 4 months ago
@Aknight292 They are lying about their belief system, in violation of their 13th Article of Faith. By proselytizing, they are violating the 11th Article of Faith, which says to respect all other belief systems. The only belief system they respect is their own. There are 14 signs of a destructive cult, all of which LDS actually does. Let me ask you this: I can prove that Mormonism is a lie. Would you like to know?
sffilk 4 months ago
@sffilk well that's your opinion! i know many don't want to go but it's their choice to go or not! if they didn't want to go, they should've told their parents and declined the call. i will tell you i was going to decline mine but then i decided not to cuz i knew for sure that this mission was for me! just lay off the comments on mission call videos and ruining it for ppl who are going and those who may want to served one day!
hyphywifeychica 1 year ago 3
@hyphywifeychica That is not my opinion. That is FACT and TRUTH. If you're a Mormon boy, you are expected and indoctrinated into going on a mission, and your family does not look favorably upon you if you don't. Boys are promised cars, money for college, etc., if they go on a mission. I've heard this from enough Mormons to know this is nothing short of the TRUTH, so don't tell me they're told they shouldn't go.
sffilk 1 year ago
@sffilk Well said. I just recently called off my mission for personal and intellectual reasons, mostly because of the problems I have with the church, and it has been a living hell. It's literally been almost a "social suicide". The guilt has been almost too much to handle at times. My whole future has been altered. I am a witness that if young mormon boys choose not to go on a mission, they will be harassed, shunned, and feel guilt for quite some time.

@rallychild Thank you for confirming what I said.
sffilk 1 year ago
@rallychild My stake president didn't serve a mission, he is not shunned by the church. I'm not entirely sure what problems you have with the church, but I am sure they must be in your head. Serving a mission is a choice. You are not looked down upon if you decide not to go. But it is definitely not social suicide. It is one of the greatest things young men can do and you can meet people who you will be friends with for life; people who share the same beliefs as you.
PhroshStar 1 year ago
@rallychild The fact that there is such manipulation of people's emotions clearly indicates that this is a cult that you should run from. Welcome to the truth!!
CounterCultureLives 1 year ago
@rallychild Hang in there buddy! You are a hero for being even willing to go. You are of great worth and it is good to have you back! Stay strong! It sucks...I know.
jbmortensen 4 months ago
@sffilk yet it's called free agency! i expect boys to go but it's their own free will and choice to do so. get over it!
hyphywifeychica 4 months ago
@hyphywifeychica How can it be free agency when they're indoctrinated since the age of what, 3 or 4, that they must go on a mission, come back, get married before they're ready to get married, and produce children before they're financially able to do so? Would you explain that?
sffilk 4 months ago
@hyphywifeychica Which is why they are indoctrinated from post-toddler age "I hope I get called for a mission," and all that results, like LDS women being told the best they they can do is to marry a returned missionary. Now, with the stigma attached like that, how can you say it's voluntary?
sffilk 4 months ago
@sffilk You truly are a troubled soul. I suggest you try repentence, or admit you are clinically insane and perhaps, with the right medical help, you will understand truth from crazy drug talk inside your slightly deformed mind. Please, leave your negative comments elsewhere.
PhroshStar 1 year ago
@PhroshStar Just the sort of rhetoric I'd expect from a member of a destructive cult. You don't like what I say, you say I need medical help and that I'm clinically insane. Let me ask you then: were I able to prove to you that the LDS faith is totally untrue, WOULD YOU WANT TO KNOW IT? By the way, I can.
sffilk 1 year ago
@sffilk Oh okay, so basically, Whatever I reply to you, It's "expected" ? I don't really think you need medical help, But I do think you should talk to missionaries, because you obviously need there help. If you can prove the LDS faith is untrue, yes I would like to know. I don't think you can prove it, It's like trying to say that the sun is made of water. You cannot disprove truth, so by the way, you cannot.
PhroshStar 1 year ago
@PhroshStar I have talked to missionaries. It turns out that I know more about their faith than they do! And YES, I can prove that LDS is false. I can prove it's a destructive cult. Write me privately, and I will show you.
sffilk 1 year ago
@sffilk honestly, i dont care what you say or whethe you think you can prove the LDS church false or not. i just think you're a sad pathetic individual. why do you insist on harassing and name calling people that simply believe differently than you do? huh? your pathetic, you need to get your own life and let these people live theirs the way they want. they're obviously living a much happier life than you could ever hope to live. i hope you realize one day that what your doing now is dumb...
Aknight292 1 year ago
@Aknight292 I have my own life, thank you. It's not great, it's good. But were it up to Mormons, I'd have to contribute 10% of my income to a mega-corporation, live my life as a lie, deal with "bishops" who know less than I do about the truth, fulfill idiotic callings, and strive to be perfect in a destructive cult where no one can be.
sffilk 1 year ago
@sffilk continued- and a waste of your time. it is impossible to get someone to believe differently by conversing over the internet, it only turns to argument. you are a poor deluded pathetic man. you have my pity. dont bother replying, there is nothing that could say to change my opinion about you and there is nothing you could say to change how i feel about my faith. you know nothing and you are nothing. good day
Aknight292 1 year ago
@Aknight292 Which only proves to me that you don't want to fulfill Moroni's promise that would prove that you're living the lie. Pity. The truth shall set you free, but you don't want the truth. To quote Jack Nicholson, "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!" And for that, I pity you and shall pray for you.
sffilk 1 year ago
@sffilk the truth has set me free. what you speak of isnt the truth, you've deluded yourself to believe what you say is truth. i can tell by your comments that you truly know nothing, you've confused yourself to believe lies you've built inside of your head. its sad that you dont even realize it. i stand by my original statement, there is nothing you can possibly say to sway me.
p.s. just because perfection is impossible doesnt mean we shouldnt strive for it. no one tells you to be perfect
Aknight292 1 year ago
@Aknight292 As I said, I know more than you purely from research and from talking to people who have discovered the truth about Mormonism. I also realize that you don't WANT to know the truth; otherwise you'd research the facts I've sent you and not say, "I KNOW that LDS is true" until you did so. However, you won't, because you don't want to know the truth.
sffilk 1 year ago
@sffilk Let me tell you - when it takes an "admin procedure" to leave the church, when people lie and gossip about one who leaves, when people lie about why Joseph Smith died, when you lie about the continued baptizing of Jewish Holocaust victims, the MMM, and various and other sundry things, you are violating your 13th Article of Faith, just as the "church" did when sending missionaries to Saudi Arabia and getting caught at it.
sffilk 7 months ago
@PhroshStar You say I cannot disprove truth, yet I can disprove lies, which is what LDS is based on, like the fact that Mormons continue to baptize dead Jews, the fact that it violates its 11th Article of Faith by sending out missionaries to tell people to leave their faiths and become Mormon, the continual lying about its own history (MMM, for instance), the truth that Mormons worship Joseph Smith and not Jesus, the continued violations of the 12th and 13th Articles of Faith, the list goes on.
sffilk 1 year ago
Thats ridiculous that a church calls you!!!!! What ever happened to God calling you????????????
iserveaGodofmercy 1 year ago
@iserveaGodofmercy God does call them through the Church.
defectedsound 1 year ago
@defectedsound that's not what it looks like. and since when did the church become part of you and the Lord's relationship? that's bogas!
iserveaGodofmercy 1 year ago
@iserveaGodofmercy Why does it not look that way to you? And well Church is an important part of our worship, as LDS we do not belive sitting at home and reading our Bilbe is all we should do. (although that is good also) But we also belive that the Chruch is an important part of our worship and therefore is led also by a living prophet. Just as in times of old.
defectedsound 1 year ago
@iserveaGodofmercy god does call [you] through many way's one way being as I stated THROUGH the Church. A person thinking about going on a mission would also pray for guidance in what they should do also, and this is another way they would ALSO be called. The first is not the only way just one of the ways.
defectedsound 1 year ago
@defectedsound 1st there are no longer any prophets. You could say that John was the last prophet when he died on the Island of Paptmus (read Revelations). 2nd the church is not a building it is the people. When Jesus christ, God Almighty, comes back to get his bride he is not going to take a bunch of buildings with him he is going to take back the church, the people. I believe that the calling is something personal between you and God alone.
iserveaGodofmercy 1 year ago
@iserveaGodofmercy Someone can't walk up and say to you "hey how does going to Africa sound?" that doesn't make it God's calling. God has to put a burden on your heart for those people. Other wise you'll go there and feel like "MAN THESE PEOPLE WONT LISTEN!" God doesn't call you for the peoples sake he does it so he can get the glory, for his sake.
iserveaGodofmercy 1 year ago
@iserveaGodofmercy and if he didn't call you then you wont do it with joy, you wont feel satisfied with what you are doing. God wont be in the work. It a dangerous and time wasting thing to be "called" by God. You wont have peace unless you do it God's way cause thats the only reason why we're here. I don't see how doing something a church says you've been called to do is a calling.
iserveaGodofmercy 1 year ago
@iserveaGodofmercy Its like I'm telling you I don't believe that is a real calling, you don't believe me. I'm human. For all you know I could be getting in the way of the person's calling and God. well I don't see how if you wont listen to a stranger who is telling you that is not a real calling how you can listen to another human who says that is your calling..... it all comes down to the same thing..... take it or leave it.
iserveaGodofmercy 1 year ago
@iserveaGodofmercy If you wish to continue this disscusion further may I suggest you private meesage me. I'm not to sure if you will as your commnets are not questions. Seem's you have allready made up your mind regardless...? If that is the case makes me wonder why you feel the need to watch these vedios on members of my Church. Peace.
defectedsound 1 year ago
@iserveaGodofmercy You sound crazy. How could any church not have a living, breathing, Prophet? Who else would lead and direct the church
PhroshStar 1 year ago
@PhroshStar ROFL! there are no more prophets! John was the last prophet and he died on the island of Pamtmus I'm not sure how to spell it. A church is not run by a man but by the Holy Spirit. That is what is wrong with most churches today is they are run by men. God appoints pastor's to over see the church.Ephesians 4:11
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; But he is not in the head. god is and it is his job to call people. next
iserveaGodofmercy 1 year ago
@iserveaGodofmercy ROFL at your logic fail. In the scripture you just quoted, you say he gave some, apostles; and some. prophets. Our church is run by God. He directs our Prophet, Thomas S. Monson. This is Gods church. There is a living, breathing prophet today, and he does Gods work. Next.
