It should be noted that usc claims 2 of those 11 titles that are not recognized by the NCAA. Twice they were named national champions by a polling system not actually recognized by the NCAA. Also we will never know for sure if they ever legitimately won a national championship. Without a playoff we cant be sure who the real champion was in any year. Its not like basketball where a legitimate #1 has to outlast 63 other teams in the purest of all playoffs, one and done. GO BRUINS!
