@txpoint V8 Archie will lie to get customers. Its just like back in the day he said you couldn't do a V8 conversion right without one of his kits yet its quite common to hit up a junkyard and get a V8 and put it in a Fiero these days and save you god knows how much.

lol have you seen the v8 vids on youtube of the v8 fieros at the track? Less then stellar numbers. high 13's to low 14's from 350-400 hp sbc motors. They are a joke. Install a sbc if you want to go slow, install a v6 to go fast.

How hard is it to convert it to a chop top?

I have chopped many cars and trucks so for me the Fiero is a lot easier to chop than most cars without the body panels but just steel. If you have a good body shop they could do it or I do them and I am the one that first built a chop top Fiero with all glass windows before me you had to settle for plastic side windows.

back in their day, they were given a 5 start crash test rating. They are very safe cars because of their space frame chassis. Ive heard of some crazy accidents people have gotten into, and walked away with only bruises...
