Paintball: you have to buy air ($20 +) a marker ($100 - $1000) paint (depends) a mask ($10 +) Pay to play ($20 +) a hopper sometimes($7 - $100) And some of these things you have to buy over and over. Airsoft : gun ($70 - $600) bbs ($25 for a nice sized bag) mask ($10+) you can play anywhere but fields are out there ($20+)
and you only have to keep buying bbs and pay to play which are both cheap

You should watch the tactical pistol training videos, they're all done with paint-ball guns, same goes for sub-machine gun accuracy and reaction time training.

With either side its all about the player. Someone that plays woodsball or scenerio paintball can do just as well in an airsoft game and the other way around. Airsoft is way cheaper. You can get a spring and play for no cost. Even using co2, gas, or batteries, you cost are much lower. Plus, you get more for less. Airsoft guns shoot way faster and are more powerful. It's more realistic to. The only problem is when people don't admit to being shot, but usually they are honest.
After all that you mispell decide? lol, AIRSOFT WINS! I played both, airsoft is so much more affordable and practical. Just dont go out there and play in unapproved areas or you will get the sport outlawed. I believe airsoft should be purchased by 18+ and owned by 16+.

Anyone that know anything about physics know that a BB would slow down tremendously. A has almost no mass really. It is extremely light. When it shoots out of the barrel of course it is going 700 FPS because probable every 10 ft it slows down 100 fps.

With either side its all about the player. Someone that plays woodsball or scenerio paintball can do just as well in an airsoft game and the other way around. Its the same type of game just a different size projectile, as for the whole honor of airsoft that up to the people playing there are cheaters in all sport.

Airsoft is way cheaper. You can get a spring and play for no cost. Even using co2, gas, or batteries, you cost are much lower. Plus, you get more for less. Airsoft guns shoot way faster and are more powerful. It's more realistic to. The only problem is when people don't admit to being shot, but usually they are honest.

I like both, but I have to give my edge to paintball. Airsoft your not afraid of the opponent, once you get hit you shrug it off. Paintball, you get hit once, your out. No way to be cheap and hide it. Who cares if paintball guns don't look real, that's not the point. Paintball all the way, airsoft is good, don't get me wrong. But when it comes to smarts and real life situations, I have to pick paintball. P.S This is my opinion, so don't troll me for picking paintball's side.

airsoft has scenario games too and they are more realistic we have diffrent game types at all of our feilds we have indoor out outdoor feilds toowe might not have had a game with 3500 people but we are a young sport when most ppl hear airsoft they think of walmart guns give it some time and that will change. airsoft snipers shoot up to 700fps they are just smaller and lighter so they dont hurt as much.

Anyone that know anything about physics know that a BB would slow down tremendously. A has almost no mass really. It is extremely light. When it shoots out of the barrel of course it is going 700 FPS because probable every 10 ft it slows down 100 fps.
Paintball speedball guns are a lot lighter. I have a airsoft gun.

@iziawesome the marines use simunition a bullet with a paint capsule at the end...cant compare to either paintball nor airsoft plus, airsoft is only allowed at 400fps at my field and paintball at 285fps...and paintball has clip fed markers, and FINALLY paintball is way more expensive, not a good thing. im not against airsoft but paintball is an actual sport played in tournaments.
