  • Thank you, very helpful.

  • Sorry if I ask but I can't find the "libav" output format for the rendering... I have synfig 0.63.02

Need help to render my video :D

  • @zenotaddei It might no be compiled and/or packaged with the Synfig version you downloaded. I cannot help you with that. You can, however, render your movies using one of the other render libraries, and convert it afterward. You should look on the Synfig website for more information about that.

  • This was very nice thx

  • Thanks for this. Even though it's for an older version, the principles/ideas are the same and helped me with getting over a block in learning Synfig.

  • Thank you. You rock!

  • ok finally finished this was great! but how do u put in music then preview it?

  • @sochileno You have to use a separate video editing tool.

  • sry i got all the selected petals at 2:02 but i couldnt figure out how to select all vertices and tangents to downsize all the petals at once. what did you click?

  • Thanks these have veen really helpful

  • @maddog4526 You're welcome.

  • When i preview my video its fine but i dont have Libav and everytime i try it just like yours it becomes a unreadable avi file

    Helppp :<

  • @stickman2400 Have you tried another extension (i.e., file format), such as .mpg, or target (i.e., driver)? Have you already posted to the Synfig forum?

  • tnx u've been such a great help, but my video was rendered into so much pieces and not a sinlge video

  • @jerrytrozt Did you set the output format to a single file format, such as AVI or MPG, like I do around 8:30 in the video? It sounds like you use the default PNG single-frame-per-file output format.

  • tnx u've been such a great help

  • @jerrytrozt You're also welcome.

  • cool tutorial!!

  • @dino1tartaro Thanks.

  • Thanks for the tutorial! I noticed that in the render settings I have less options. For instance I don't have libav or mng. Are these optional plugins?

  • @Jeorney : Yes, unfortunately not all output plugins are available on all platforms. Also some are simply not compiled in by default because they are also not maintained or unstable. I liked the libav plugin so I compiled it myself.

  • This was awesome!

I mean you did use all open source applications for creating this video...

You must be in love with Open Source!

  • :-)

  • Great tutorial. Very useful and great work.

  • Thanks for making the tutorial. It's a lot clearer this way than reading it in text.

  • And thank you for the endless stream of bugfixes and new features!
