I bought this years after the breakup and upon hearing this for the first time, I had this idea in my head that maybe Rob knew the end of the line was coming for this band, so he wrote the music with a mournful vibe to it as a way of saying goodbye to this chapter of his career. Now I know some may read that and call me an idiot or retard for saying that, but that's just my theory. I'm probably way off, but as I said, I hear a sense of finality to the music, though the lyrics don't reflect that.

@aliensarereal666 Like I said, it sounds to me like the music was written with the idea that the song was closing not just the album, but also the band as a unit. Rob has said in the past that internal conflicts were ruining the band and this album was likely to be their last, which sort of supports my theory. The droning sounds and slow pacing also kinda reminds me of a funeral march. Again, it's juts my theory. There may be no hint of truth to it at all and I don't claim that there is any.
