with all do respect...and I can say anything I want because I said "with all do respect" ....good god this is awful. The vocals are ok...and the band has potential but if your going to cover a song atleast give it justice. It has no groove, no funk, nothing jazzy at all. It's just BUMP BUMP....BUMP BUMP...BUMP BUMP. It sounds like a band that plays nothing but 4/4 trying to do something they just can't.
this version would've been great if the bass arrangement stayed with the original funk/jazz style...if i was the bass player i would be slapping the hell out of the bass...like it should be...but over all performance is simple and great...
